Actually Dorian did get alot back from the sport, he has his own chain of gyms, supplement company that sells alot of products, and is seen in all of bodybuilding as one of the most experienced BB'ers around. But it all boils down to what you chose to do with your life, whether you'll become a accountant, addict or champion is up to you and your drive, so commenting upon what these people do to get to the top is of no concern to them, only to yourself. oh and btw Dorian Fucking Rules

@YamSakerII I want you to explain why you think this is a sad use of life. I'm not trying to pick a fight with you or anything, but I'm legitimately curious because I don't get it.

@YamSakerII You obviously dont know much about bodybuilding ....its your "opinion" that its a really sad use of life but to many people it is a way of life and they enjoy it....its the process of bodybuilding that makes it a great sport. Takes alot of discipline and heart and not many people can achieve at the level that people like Dorian Yates do. They go 100% in life for the things they want to achieve and thats exactly what they get. My respect goes out to all bodybuilders. Peace.

@YamSakerII but just to point out what I wanted to say . I'm a bodybuilder myself and I'm having a wonderful life . It may be the music itself what makes Dorian Yates life kinda sad , maybe if there was a different song I'm sure it would have looked different . Peace ;)

@AbsoluteZ3R0 PART3 once again not hating. If someone wants to body-build then go for it, i've got respect for it. But I personal want balance. I do go to the gym and feel great when I do. But I've got my degree, friends, girlfriends [just joking only 1] and future to worry about. And I could live with out fatty foods with movies, and beers with mates. oh and I value my heart and liver, Dorian does NOT [like I said, don't really want to have a steroids discussion] Did this explain it to you??? x

@YamSakerII It's clearly that we all have different opinions . If I see a guy getting drunk everyday with his buddies , for me , it is a waste of life , If I see an addict playing all day long games , same thing .Back to your opinion: You see DY's life a waste of time but now think about how he feels . He's feeling great , he is prowd of himself , and he loves what he did in life . At the end ... that's all that matters for us:We made what we wanted out of lour life-Isn't that an accomplishment?

@YamSakerII Well I don't really like it to go on but I can't quite keep my mouth shut . Because you haven't quite understood my message . I didn't gave life a blank picture , about getting wasted and stuffs I meant to give an example of wasted lifes , not an accomplishment . DY's life is an accomplishment . Think how the world would look if we didn't had people like these to inspire us ? How would it look without people sacrificing their lives to do something.I'm not replying to start a fight,

@TheALd0z I don't accept you know he's feeling great or living the life he wants. I do accept your opinion and think it is valid. However you're giving a very black and white picture of life. Getting wasted everyday or playing video games for hours on end aren't the alternatives. These are wastes of life too. Just because there are other wastes of life, doesn't mean this isn't a waste of life. The life I described is a lot more balanced. This will be my last word, nice chatting to you, peacex

@AbsoluteZ3R0 PART2 extremely unhealthy and life shortening [not going to have a separate discussion about this, it's just a fact, if one doesn't think so, one is in extreme denial] --- there is no emotional or intellectual stimulation, which in my opinion are to of the most important thinks in life, it's so narrow minded to just work out, there is SOOO much other stuff out there. Bodybuilding is very mutually exclusive with most things, relationships, friendships, academia and art are NOT. CONT

@TheBodyandMind dude back off, he can watch anything and criticize it. he didn't know he didn't like it until he watched it, imagine if tv critics only watch what was good. anyway this is ugly, really sad use of life

@AbsoluteZ3R0 PART1 --- I'm not trying to pick fight either, just my opinion, not trying to shit on anybody else's opinion. I think it's a waste of life because: it's a very lonely and egocentric lifestyle dedicating your life to your own body --- we only get one life why not do something worth while? his muscle is temporary, when it's gone he's got nothing to show for it, just a trophy or photo, nothing meaningful or intrinsic --- does nothing for greater good or society, kind of selfish CONT..
