Yay I’m glad you’re reviving this series! I was initially disappointed with my wool babaa knit too, but it definitely has softened over time! I love it because it’s so hefty and keeps me warm

I am super debating on the babaà sweater. What made you decide on that particular size vs the no19? I am on the fence. I am 5”3 long torso, and have short arms so I am unsure of what to do. How tall are you?
@sawahseem4 жыл бұрын
Hi Helen, thanks for this helpful video! I’m considering purchasing the Everlane cashmere mock neck sweater but was wondering if it is itchy? As I’m on the petite side (5”2), would you say that the sweater is on the long side? Thanks a lot!

Hello Helen! I am so glad I found your channel as I was looking for videos about Petite Studios! Yours was one of the few in English(: Do you have any tips for keeping moths away from your wool sweaters? Btw, my oldest daughter‘s name is Helen! It was my grandmother’s name and also my husband’s grandmother‘s name.
@DailyHelenJ4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sherry :) Thank you so much! Unfortunately, I haven't had much experience with moths when it comes to sweaters but I do try to steam them pretty often to keep them fresh between wears to remove any odours that might attract moths etc.

Hi Cindy :) Potentially you could take a look on Asos if you're interested. They stock a small selection of their pieces and are a bit more friendly shipping/returns wise :) x

So happy this series is back! you really nailed that blue polo, well, all the looks actually. I wonder how do you take care of the knitwear tho? mine started to see some damage after a couple of washes :(
@DailyHelenJ4 жыл бұрын
Thank you :) I try to hand wash everything and ensure everything dries flat. I also as much as possible, try to wear something inside my knits to prolong it between washes. I like to steam them in between wears as a freshen up if it doesn't require a proper wash.

Could we talk about the fact that Everlane fired their workers at the beginning of April (during the pandemic crisis) solely bc they were unionizing
@DailyHelenJ4 жыл бұрын
Hi Alina, hope you are well. Union busting is really not on. However as viewers will know - about 50% of clothes I own is from Everlane and have just about every style there is in my wardrobe. If you guys would like to stop hearing about them moving forward, let me know. I would be happy to share other brands as alternatives and happy to take your recommendations on other ethical brands you love.
@sueanne10284 жыл бұрын
@@DailyHelenJ I think you should continue to feature Everlane and others, and leave it to viewers to do their own research and discover backstories to various company's actions during this very difficult time. Thank you.

Lumiere d'Helen I think it’d make for a good discussion video talking about your thoughts on the brand after that whole incident and how you can go about shopping in an ethical way when so many brands have shady business practices
@chic_bassanus4 жыл бұрын
I'm so confused about this incident. Didn't they lay off hundreds of people because of corona virus? And only a small percent of those who were laid off were forming a union. So it's not like they only fired those who were trying to form the union. If there is something more to this, I'd like to know (I'm European so I have no idea how unions work in the US). 🙁
@alinapan31084 жыл бұрын
Lumiere d'Helen I think the reason why I’m so disspointed is that I used to over-romanize these “ethnical” brands. It hurts me to see Everlane putting out new items every other week to up sales, and do not care about their workers like they claim. I used to buy from them but then realized I was paying for the idea more than the quality. I feel like Everlane and many other brands bank on minimalist bloggers promoting their products and our pursuit of the same "effortless" aesthetic, and due to the great success of Everlane, many other brands changed their marketing strategy to appear more transparent and ethical. H&M for an example, there’s nothing conscious about their conscious line and yet they make sells. Like others, I do think that this is a good opportunity for you to share your thoughts on this topic. I hope you stay healthy as well Helen, and keep up with the awesome content!
