Being here today at the major and seeing this incredible GenG give a performance of a lifetime to beat what looked like an unbeatable Moist in the finale was just outstanding. This was by far the best event i've gone too in my life. Huge love for the 3 Kings of GenG

Good for the GenG squad, they deserve their fairy tale story. Jack stuck with the mental black hole that was Dignitas, Noly straight up getting kicked after a great split, Chronic never really getting the chance to get anyone's attention except 1s mains, all of a sudden they just start downloading everyone and dominate. First ever sweep of G2's Atomic roster? Ez. First NA team to go 8-0 on a championship Sunday? Lol they almost went 1-3 in that swiss, mental diff. For the rest of the RL scene calling a timeout buffs you something like 66% to win on paper, but against GenG it debuffs you to 28% to win. On top of all that, a region #1 seed has never won the following LAN and they somehow overcome the nerves of the situation (Chronic making me eat my words that he would choke under the pressure lol). GFG WP I'm happier that it was a great grand final and not the snoozefest that was worlds (ggwp BDS u good but u boring), and that we got to see Aztral pop off like the goat he is. No disrespect to Vatira's consistent world-class performance, but I'm not alone in thinking that Aztral absolutely stole the show - even more than Jack in my opinion. Throughout the playoffs and in finals was going super saiyan and made a much bigger impact in getting his team within 2 games of a major win. Hella respect to him too, you can see on the bigscreen after the series he's giving props to Chronic with a veteran grin on his face. I'll admit I thought he was toxic in the past but after hearing him in interviews and podcasts and especially his graciously losing a fantastic series, I respect the hell outta his pro attitude. If we're gonna respect Vatira, FK, and Jack for being so competitive then we gotta credit Aztral the same.

I thought the same but someone posted the stats, Vati has the highest average goals per game (0.96 vs 0.67 for Astral) and highest shot accuracy by far of the major. Vati also had higher average number of assists. That said Aztral made some crazy plays and made it to the final so I think either of them deserved it

geng is so good, they just have the weird power of being able to download their opponents so well, faze beat them in the first regional yet the last few matchups between the 2 havent been close, and geng almost always has a slow start and a dominant end to the series

U can't just say "they probably would've beaten faze so they're top 4" when faze literally beat them in swiss. The reason why liquid put up more of a fight than faze against Gen G is because, first of all, it was Gen G's first match in front of the crowd and they were playing rly shaky the first 5 games or so, and second of all, Gen G just know how to beat Faze by now...
