How’s the Adler been treating you so far? Last I saw you put a slicking kit in it. On another not considering getting a Wedgetail Industries MPR308 for pig hunting in NSW if it remains legal there, so I was wondering what your thoughts on the rifle are and pump action rifles when pig hunting. The Adler is great now with the slick kit in it. I have seen the wedgetail firearms and they do look good. Pump actions are good mate yes.

Why are they shooting the cats? What's going on?

D33Lux FERAL cats. They are not native to the area and put a lot of the indigenous animals on the endangered list. So, the government encourages landowners and shooters to “take care” of ‘em as a pest animal. Found out about that when I was on vacation and touring the country. Hunters like Stu are actually doing the native animals (and the country) a service whenever they shoot feral cats and pigs.

hey mate what ammo you running through your 3006? is it factory or handloads if so what grain?

I reload mate using 150grn well constructed projectiles (game kings etc) and 2208 powder I think a couple of grains up from the minimum load recommendations mate.

We leave them where they lie mate as they carry diseases harmful if you eat them. Within a week they are gone as other pigs, foxes, cats and crows make short work of the carcasses.

Yes mate I think it actually has a setting for it. However, it was really strong winds so normally it doesn't pick up the wind as it is all inbuilt.

The gun is a 110 Adler (Turkish made) probs around $800 and the rifle is a Ruger 30/06 around $1,000 bucks mate.

Really enjoyed watching your vid there Stu. Got a quick question for ya: what do you do with the dead pigs? I assume that you leave them for buzzard food... But just wanted to know for sure. Either way, great vid getting rid of pest animals and keep on shooting mate!

Yes we leave them mate as the farmer just wants them thinned out. They also carry disease in this area and we are not set up to butcher them. Within a week the carcasses are eaten by other pigs, predators and crows etc.

You are right mate, I would love a Sako Hunter but the old Ruger just keeps singing on tune and yes detachable mags would be good.

stu I will counter that argument... I kind of like floor plates even though I have a mag fed.... taking a mag out and putting it back in takes longer than grabbing one off your arm and dropping it in and you can feed the floor plate "as you go" quicker than you can fumble around loading a mag (takes 2 hands to load mag) I'd say stick with what you got mate... just being devils advocate here

Cant argue with you on that one, i still have my ruger in the safe and dont think i have the heart to part with it after havin it for so long. But in saying that i picked up tikka with a 10 shot lucky 13 mag for a price i couldn't pass up on. I know i will never need/use the whole mag in one go but man i love the fact i dont need to worry about counting shots or pullin the trigger on an empty chamber. As they say what ever works and theres no point in changing for no reason.

@@nanettevalencia4243 The wild pig in Australia are introduced and not native to our country, they sniff out Turtle nests, dig them up and eat the lot. They kill new born lambs and just eat the liver etc etc.
