This week on Best of the Worst, the gang tackles misguided children's films. Or what they THOUGHT were children's films anyway.

I watched Thunderpants as a kid and they don’t even touch on the craziest fucking part of the movie. At one point, an opera singer hears how high pitched the kids farts are, so he hires him to fart during his shows whenever he hits high notes. But instead his fart is so powerful that it causes a stage-light to fall and kill the opera singer. So then, the kid gets arrested and put on trial for murder where (and I am not making this up) HE GETS SENTENCED TO DEATH BY FIRING SQUAD. Luckily though NASA show up at the last second and save his life because they want to use his farts to power their spaceship. This movie is fucking bonkers.

I own and have gifted Thunderpants at least once or twice. The movie is pretty solid, has quite good production quality, and is totally filled with big name actors (many early in their careers, but several established ones.) It’s way better than it has any right to be, but it was made with the love and confidence needed to allow it any chance to succeed.

5:15 You got to admire the confidence of Rich Evans when deciding what movie would he chose for his lady friend. He didn't choose a romantic comedy or anything like that, he just went ahead and choose Thunderpants and said to himself: "This is EXACTLY what my friend wants. A fairy tale story about a kid farting too much". And it fucking worked!

LOL about 30 minutes in, someone farts really load while Mike is talking and you see Jessi and Jay trying their laughter. Priceless

Thunderpants was after the first Harry Potter. It's an "A" or at least "not B" movie. File under "quirky British movie".

As far as title drops go I actually liked the "... you've got pants of thunder", it actually sounds vaguely cool.

Thunderpants is like a movie version of a Dahl book ...about farting.

Thunderpants was actually really big in England - I think it was based off of a really big book. Also, this was the first movie on BoTW that I've actually seen before!

It brings much joy to my pathetic empty soul of how much she loves thunderpants.

+fourcrippledhorses When was the moment where Gryphon Ellen Page becomes a homeless person and gets propositioned by an asshole, or drugged by a group of bikers?
