Hey T-Mike; I have really enjoyed your great videos the last couple of months. I am currently working on a 1956 7.5 Johnson. The paint videos have been especially informative. Keep up the wonderful work!

Thanks Mike! This was the most important information for me as I am a motor guy but brand new to outboards. I am restoring my 1965 5 HP Evinrude and wanted to make sure I had the colors correct!

I feel cost, for what they are, VOP are on par with going to the auto paint store for a custom mix can so not horrible. Rustoleum is supposed to be cheap paint for the home DIYer. I ordered light blue and white for my 74 Mate, still need to get the paint off the tank mount and a little off the tank.

Hi. Allways love your videos! Enjoy them all and you have helped me with questions on my first motor i have ever worked on and may have more for you in the future. Your knowledge is great and helpful! I did just purchase a 1957 motor and can to match the year of my boat. Thinking of redoing the can/ tank-someone cut the one side of the handle though- didn’t know to keep it original or to redo it? I also have another old tank. I was wondering why no primer though? Love your work. Thank you again for everything you share! Have a good day

@@michaeljsimon Hi. Wasn’t sure you would get this- seen the video was an older one before i started following you. Not sure what you mean by a 2- line tank though? This is all new to me- trying to teach an old dog new tricks and with people like you- it will happen! Again thank you for sharing your knowledge!

@@michaeljsimon Hi. Just watched the video you sent me. Thank you for that. Thinking maybe i miss spoke- i was watching an older video you were talking about matching paint for motors/ fuel tanks. You painted one older tank that was red- i was wondering why no primmer was all?It came out beautiful like all your work though. Thank you and sorry for the confusion

I read that the Vintage Outboard acrylic doesn't like gas/oil. It appears that it lifts off the motors almost instantly. Has anyone actually experienced that?

Wear a mask Mike. And if using clear coat be warned. Clothes to be discarded at minimum
