Hey Mike, my first one was a 1958 Mark 28 automatic transmission engine. Being a auto body painter all my life , I went at it and made her look like new again without completely disassembling it. Last fall a friend dropped off another one, this one being a ‘60 Merc 200 and again in rough shape, but this one I completely disassembled, stripped, repaired and painted and is like new again. Both were in rough shape. I’m retired and do this for enjoyment out of my hangar. There is just something cool about thanking something old and making new again! I enjoy your videos and how to learn more on the mechanics of these engines . Hope you do some older Mercurys! 🖖🏻

Mike. Nice job. Is there a cross to Holiday Bronze for the late 50’s Johnson’s??
I see your using random paints. can you use mercury oem enamle paint over omc if sanded b4 had as in will the omc base paint react with the mercury enamle?

I came in late. On the "quickie" do you worry much about degreasing? What about using a deglosser in those areas difficult to sand? Thanks.

Hi Mike, what paint can I use for a Johnson Seahorse 1955. I read it's seahorse green but i'm not sure how to get the exact color right. Thank you for all your videos!

T-Mike, I'm still binge watching. I may have a problem. I have 3 boat motors now in less that a month. And still no boat.
