LOL!!! I don't know why... I wasn't watching the video at the time, because I was cleaning some vintage speedball nibs I just received in the mail today!!! So, while I was cleaning them, I was looking down, and listening to your vlog... I had to laugh, because you sounded just like the OG QVC!!! I love that teeny tiny kum lol it comes with extra blades. My next fav is the 3 hole Fabre castel sharpner. I agree with everything you said about the electric sharpener and the t gaal. I think I am gonna get the stadler one next. Ty for the informative videos. You are one of my favorite coloring queens.

I been using a maped hand sharpener for 2 years after someone recommended it to me. I really like it and I barely ever have trouble with a lead.

I've my t'gaal sharper for a year and never had a problem with it. I got it off of Amazon. It came in a two pack. I haven't worn out my first t'gaal shaper out yet. I do a lot of sharping of my pencils. But I love it I truly don't understand why people in the community dislike these sharpers.

Thanks for your recommendations! I have been a big fan of the tgal but if that goes dull on me, I'll get your Mr #1! Seems like it should be a Miss but I will get my mind out of the gutter!! I prefer the tgal over the tiny brass sharpener I had for the very reason you point out, haha pun intended, that I can sharpen my pencils on the #1 or #2 setting. I think more people need to see this & stop sharpening their pencils with such a long point! You're asking for breakage! Can we talk erasers? I have the prismacolor eraser in a pencil, the tiny Tombow eraser in a pen type holder & neither one works very well. They seem to just smudge the color, not erase it. I'm considering buying the electric eraser but idk.

I use the ipoint evolution on all my pencils I love it......I just bough a second I grabbed it at ollies for 7 but it can run 25 to 35 on amazon it has auto stop and I love it for prisma I might grab the staedtler for my large pencils how does it work on those

I am definitely going to look for that one at my Ollie's!!! The staedler Works great for large pencils like Derwent and Polychromos. Even works great for the brutfuner square ones.

I recently purchased an AFMAT rechargeable electric pencil sharpener and it was some of the best money I ever spent! I haven't had a broken pencil yet. Way better than the handheld sharpeners I was using and I have tried several.

Hello, Very intersting, thank you. 1°) Once, I've been given a very good advice in order to sharpen fragile pencils : *don't turn the pencil itself but slowly turn the sharpener only* . I absolutely agree. It's another way to preseve the pencil. 2°) The Dhale 133 can be set to get a shorter lead with the screw. But finally, like you I don't use it for Pismacolor. For all other brands, as Polychromos, it is really the top. 3°) After trying many sharpeners, I definitely adopted the T'Gall for the Prismas. The most appropiate . I've been using the same blade for 3 years now and I've never had to sharpen the blade !! Perhaps, I will have to do soon !! 4°) I've seen many people who got Prismacolor breakages with electric sharpeners. 5°) If the lead is broken inside the pencil, some put the pencil inside the *microwave oven* and then let it cool down. I've never had this kind of lead breakage, but it's a good idea. 6°) There is a Prismacolor sharpener. But I find the T'Gaal more appropriate. 7°) Not often sharpening the Prismas i a very good advice you gave !

i use xacto sharpener for pencils which is fine for #2 pencils but I still have problems with colored pencils. and I just got a makeup sharpener with a big hole for crayola crayons (the small hole is a bit big for pencils). you don't get a point but it peels the paper pretty good :). electric sharpeners are too much for me cuz it gets eaten

If you don't want a sharp point, on your Dahl 133, on your pencils, adjust the tiny knob to "dull". Its the silver knob directly in the middle of the crank. You can adjust it to very very sharp to really dull. I'm assuming you didnt know about it because you didn't mention it!

Thx. I'm aware you can get a blunt end point. Usually this type of point doesn't help get into tiny detailed areas. I need a short Sharp point. I wish it adjusted that way. Sharp and short, instead of blunt and short. That would be an amazing hand crank!!! Have you ever seen one like that? Let me know if you ever do 💜🧡💙💚❤️💛

Awesome video, I have the tgaal but agree that it gets blunt quite quickly, also I hate that it doesn’t hold much pencil shavings 😂 I like my swordfish but it can eat your pencils, you have to be careful 🙈 maybe I’ll try out your favourite one 💖

Hi Necee! Excellent video! I've just tried sharpening my Tgaal sharpener by taking it apart and it was all fine until the last hurdle! I've put it back together and it is not sharpening properly, its chewing up the pencils! 😅 Do you have any tips? Thanks 😊

Thank you so much for watching ❤️ what Did you use to sharpen the Tgaal blade? I used a knife sharpener stone to sharpen the blade before putting it back together. The blade may not be Sharp enough.

I'm using a knife steel to sharpen it - the blade never chewed up my pencils before even when it was pretty bad, so I'm not sure why it's not working anymore? Thank you for your help 😊

I had another Tgaal that I actually sharpened the blade too much. Where it no longer had the natural slant. It was chewing up the Pencils badly. I had to toss it. The second time I attempted the process, it was Successful bc I just barely sharpened the blade with the stone. And I made sure it kept that very slight natural slant that it had before. I didn't think it was possible to sharpen the blade too much 😁 I thought the sharper the BETTER. Well um... Nope. I learned my lesson. LOL 😆
