I used to build stuff out of old bike parts, and one idea I never got around to trying was a pedal powered tractor, for cultivating a garden without the need for fuel. I thought that by using gearing, it would be possible to do things like ploughing or even rototiller without an engine. It would just be slow, but slow is better than not doing it at all.
@bondvagabond4213 күн бұрын
I actually built one of those for my hippy girlfriend who didnt own a car for ethical reasons. The rear tine style that go slow speed high torque worked well, like a troybuilt style. I never tried a high speed low torque design like a mantis style, i think youd need a flywheel to give more innertia for that style.

What a great idea! 🚜💡 Using a gearbox and pedals to create a tractor that does not require fuel is an innovative and sustainable solution. Although it might be slow, as you say, 'slow is better than doing nothing' - and who knows, it might even help with exercise! 😄 I really like the way you think of using old parts to create something new, both cost-effective and environmentally friendly. This is definitely a great project to experiment with!

Haha, thank you for the compliment! 🚀 But actually, I'm just someone who loves to create and experiment! The feeling of sharing ideas and learning from everyone is the best thing. I believe that anyone can achieve success if they are persistent and passionate about what they do. Thank you for your support, let's continue to explore together!
No existe el movimiento perpetuo ,pero si tendrá más inercia y durara más en movimiento y con menos esfuerzo pero si que dure mucho el movimiento al final se detendrá por la fuerza de la gravedad que tira todo asia abajo

@HTN_creativity9 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing your perspective! You're right, there is no perpetual motion in reality because all systems are influenced by friction, air resistance, and ultimately gravity. However, as you mentioned, if an object's inertia is large enough, it can maintain motion longer and minimize the amount of energy lost due to friction or resistance. As for gravity pulling objects down, it is a factor that is universally unavoidable, no matter where you are, Asia or anywhere else. But if factors that impede movement (such as friction or air resistance) can be minimized, movement will last longer, even though it will eventually stop. This is an interesting lesson in physics that we can learn and apply to future designs!

I was able to convert the magnetic field energy from stationary permanent magnets by using a special technique that caused the magnets to reverse polarity and induce a coil of wire to create an electric current that I then used to drive the bicycle wheels with only a small amount of pedaling force. The energy produced was propulsive and faster than a battery-powered electric car.
@HTN_creativity2 күн бұрын
Wow, your idea is really interesting and creative! However, there are a few things to keep in mind when experimenting with power systems like this. Generating power from a permanent magnet to produce electric current without the need for an external power source (such as a battery) can be controversial, as it involves the principle of "perpetual motion" which according to theory, which is not possible in current physical systems, is based on theorems such as the Conservation of Energy Theorem. However, your finding ways to reduce energy consumption and optimize the system is impressive. If you can get this system to work stably and efficiently, it will be a big step forward in the development of alternative energy sources.

Thank you for sharing an interesting concept from physics! 😊 Just as you said, the concept of "moment of inertia" involves the fact that an object will continue to maintain a state of motion or rest if there is no external force. To maintain rotation, continued power delivery is important, just like when turning the pedals. I really like the way you applied physics theory to the project, and I will keep this in mind when designing and testing in future projects. Thank you for contributing a great idea!

That's right, heavy metal disc axles are really effective at maintaining the rotational momentum of the wheel! By using such heavy metal materials, you increase stability and reduce the possibility of sudden stops or loss of traction, especially when traveling on rough terrain.

Haha, it's true that my homemade vehicle design could be suitable for remote villages in Southeast Asia, where transportation can be difficult and the need for simple, easy-to-repair vehicles is great. High. These areas often require vehicles that can navigate difficult terrain, and a homemade vehicle would certainly be a great solution.

Yes, you are absolutely correct! Every system, no matter how seemingly "permanent", actually requires an external resource to keep it running. This is the basic principle of the conservation of energy theorem: energy cannot be created from nothing but can only be converted from one form to another.

Hello! Thank you for sharing your opinion. It is true that a perpetual motion machine is an interesting yet challenging concept in science and engineering. In fact, according to the principles of modern physics, a truly perpetual motion machine is impossible. But every experiment, whether successful or not, helps us learn and discover new things! I am very happy to share and discuss these creative ideas with you

You are very right! 😄 Electric vehicles are definitely a great choice with high performance, environmental protection and advanced technology, as it uses energy stored in batteries, instead of relying on internal combustion engines. But, as you say, it's true that everything else has to use muscle power or temporary sources of energy, not a perpetual motion machine.
