My choice is Tiaong, Quezon. Due to near in other provinces with beautiful tourist spots. Such as beaches in Batangas. Also, near in mountains, like Mt. Banahaw. The best thing is it about 2.5 hours drive to Manila, and it will be lessen once the TR4 ( an new expressway in the south ) open.

Thanks for sharing. My wife and I will be in Dumaguette for two weeks this coming October; we'll see what it has to offer. Although we have not entertained much the idea of retiring in the Philippines, this visit may somehow encourage us to rethink the future. By the way, I enjoy your videos. You seem to have a lot of ideas on how to better one's financial condition. I always say that if everyone thinks the way my father did, no one will be poor - you reminded me of him. Good luck to your channel, Salee.

My wife and I checked out Tagaytay and found the area too humid. It turns out the average humidity is nearly 80% all year. Tagaytay is also 55 km from the International Airport so it doesn't work that well for travel bugs like me. Lastly, Tagaytay is like Hua Hin in Thailand where it's very congested from Friday night to Sunday because of so many day and weekend trippers from Metro Manila.

I've been to all those places but i like Sultan Kudarat. I like the Provincial setting. Gensan Airport is not too far away or i can also use Davao airport. Speaking of beaches, Sarangani /Glan areas have the most relaxing beaches. I retired to enjoy peace and solitude. Too many people and too much noise annoys me but i do enjoy visiting Cebu, Manila , Bagiuo , Palawan , Batangas and wherever i feel like.

There are some nice places in Mindanao, but I wouldn't say Panabo City is one of them. Davao City is okay, but many people from Davao have migrated to Gensan (formerly Dadiangas) also identifies as Sarangani Province. Mindanao is Predominantly Muslim, so it isn't unusual to see a Christian chapel standing adjacent to a Mosque in most towns and small cities. Cebuano is favorably spoken all over Mindanao.

Is it time for a career shift or should I consolidate my investments into a single account? If I go for the latter, how do I do it right, and what could be the drawbacks? Plus, with a $200K property sale on the horizon, should I combine my investments or diversify them across different markets?

These are crucial questions for a financial planner. I met mine at a NYSE summit, and with her help, my wife and I reallocated our $1.7M portfolio between a traditional IRA and a brokerage account. She’s been making investments with our approval and has helped us recover twice our losses. We’re holding steady and carefully navigating more markets

One needs to have a checklist of living conditions to be met in a categorically prioritize manner. 1)access to proper medical facility 2)cost of living conditions 3)peace and order conditions For me, Cebu will certainly be on top that can qualify the above requirement.

Manila will always be my base. Best hospitals, hotels, restaurants, malls, supermarkets, entertainment, concerts, sporting events, internet and casinos in the country. Easy to get to Boracay or Palawan if I need a beach break. To people that say they can't relax in Manila because it's noisy have never stayed in a luxury condo on the 40th floor with great views in one of the major CBDs. Even when I'm at the pool I can barely hear the traffic below. What about crowded malls? Do your shopping from 10am to 3pm from Mon-Thur and you have the entire mall to yourself.

@@RowenaMendez-w9p good observation…that is also my concern when I survey Palawan as the island is long and travelling from say el nido to puerto prinsesa is not short…after Cebu, Iloilo might be next in terms of healthcare facilities availability. Of course, Manila is still way up there, the reason why I may end up in Tagaytay. Cons I saw in Tagaytay-Taal volcano could pose a bit of problem sometimes and lack of street lights during nigh time. I don’t know why? LGU issue, but I love the cleanliness of Baguio nowadays. Their mayor did a good job keeping Baguio clean and safe 24/7. My personal opinion, families within few hour or minutes drive away from your chosen retirement place might be one thing to consider. It all depends on your personality, needs and circumstances.

Cebu might be on top of our priority even though we have a lot to build a home in Sta Rosa Laguna Bel-Air.We like a place with good proximity to the beach too.25 years ago when we bought this lot at the time , we have nothing in mind but just to have it as an investment. Up to now we are not sure if it’s a good idea to build our future home but only to live in it part time. My husband and I are still debating in this issue since he is already retired and I intend to work for another 5 years ,God’s willing 🙏🙏

Why tell you and everybody in the whole world ? I wouldn't want them flooding in there and driving up prices (?) creating shortages and making it worse for the people already there ?!? That seems to be what happens everywhere a good place becomes too popular ? > There are many places on a variety of islands to choose from ! Travel is cheap enough to do some - and investigate in many places - what you might like and / or prefer ?

The advice in this video really is supposed to put into the carbage can. Retirees have the freedom to travel around. To find a place with supposdetly the best and most complete amenities is not necessary. Instead you can cherry-pick the best of every region. And what expat retirees dont want is to be exposed to one place and exposed to heavy tax paying. A smart retiree will never spend more than 180 days in the country within the calendar year, so you avoid all taxes. ANd a smart retiree will spend time in secret places that are even more beautiful. Sorry to say that, but the video author has not even a clue about such places in the Philippines or in other parts of the Pacific region. And of course, no retiree with knowledge of such places will give them away to youtubers. So those places will stay secret for many decades to come, exept for the smart retirees.

Well some truth there but I’m full time in another North Asian island and country on the Pacific that gives me free, first -rate healthcare , no taxes on stocks and has a cost of living for me that’s 69% lower than where I come from plus interest rates are 1.7% and inflation the same. Taxes are progressive but not excessive.
