How does the New Active 2.0 Electric Pressure Washer hold up in a mobile detailing set up. In my mobile detail van I use a basic gravity fed system. That means that there is no pump between my water tank and my pressure washer. Gravity alone is feeding the water in to my pressure washer. I wanted to test and see how the new Active 2.0 would work in this situation. I will be running this off of my Generator and I will be using a 50' pressure washer hose. I will also be testing the psi and gpm with the gravity fed system to see if that changes any of the performance. ENJOY!!!

Hey Josh. I have a 2500W Generac generator and a 33 gallon water tank that gravity feeds my active 2.0 with the original pressure washer hose (nothing upgraded). Upon plugging the water inlet into the active 2.0, and connecting the active gun, I get no water through my system and the pressure washer sounded like it was working super hard and could not prime. I believe my water pressure is low. I did not face this issue feeding my 2.0 with a garden hose in my garden while being powered by my generator. It primed right away. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong? Thanks

Cost perspective like you said, as a consumer for home use applications and not simply for washing vehicles you are absolutely correct. There is so much more value that you can get out of a for example gas pressure washer to clean your house sidings your concrete, etc. But when you are simply looking to wash something that doesn’t require high pressure (washing a vehicle) this is the absolute best in terms of price to performance.

Nice work Josh, but running that generator would drive my clients and their neighbours nuts. Surely this client could let you plug into his power and water. I haven’t got one client that doesn’t let me connect to their power and water. FYI I run a Karcher K2 with your UberFlex update (bought from your links) and its been unbelievably good. I’ve already done about 100 hours with it and it hasn’t skipped a beat. It’s the best $AUD129 I’ve spent in my setup. It replaced a Ryobi very heavy 2400psi machine with a hose reel that has been relegated to paver cleaning around the house (and the thing I trip over most in my storage area 😂😂😂) Lloyd
@PolishedMobileDetailing503

For interior work a lot of the times you will overload the clients power supply and that’s very unprofessional. I use an inverter generator that’s the most quiet piece of equipment I run. The air compressor is far louder. As far as my business goes I can’t function without my self sustaining ways.

When I hook up the hose and test the trigger, there is a slight delay of approx. 1 second from letting go of the trigger until the machine stops. With the standard hose the machine stops immediately. I'm confused as to why you would opt for this type of setup when you still have to run a gas generator constantly. I would think at that point have a gas powered pressure washer and battery powered tools (blower and such). It works either way, it just seems like an extra step with the generator is all. Love the videos btw, keep up the great informative work please! Edit/addition: You could also work everything off of an inverter with a battery bank powered by solar on the roof and having it charge off your alternator when the vehicle is running. Just an idea if someone would ever want to get away from having a generator or loud pressure washer.

What would you say is the ideal pressure washer for home use out of all the ones you tested? thx

We would definitely say (as noted above) that this for most any and all home applications is ideal - not just auto cleaning. If you need more pressure, go gas.

I have the cheaper Amazon Basics foam cannon I found on Josh’s link and wanted to make sure I am using the right orifice for it since I just ordered a new Active 2.0 from Cameron who was very helpful. So for my Amazon basics foam cannon can I use a 1.1mm or what size orifice should I use for my foam cannon to get the most foam without hurting the pump or anything on the Active? Thanks in advance

I'm so on the fence with the 2.0 and the v52 because I won't be using it in a professional setting and the numbers are so dang close. The 100 dollar difference has me stuck lol. I'm a tight ass with money....... OG is doing their giveaway so if the 2.0 is part of that I'll buy it there I think lol

@@iMakeURaGez especially when it costs half the price. You figure the 52 is 250 for 100 hours, x2 that and you'd be at 500. But with the 2.0 it's only 350 so you're actually saving 150 bucks lol. This train of thought is exactly why my girl doesn't like me spending time on Amazon lol

@@no_lft_shft It comes down to mostly usage in my mind. Someone who uses it a few hrs a month it’d take 5 yrs to hit 100hrs. Pros need reliability or a good warranty to keep swapping em out.

Gas Generator defeats the purpose of a electric power washer. You still have all that noise during idle when not using the water. Unless you get a battery generator

@@MasrSR Still no power, lots of landslides, temporary bridges collapsed washed out by the rivers overflowed, over 1000 people rescued because of overflowed areas. My family in the southern cities of Juana Diaz and Ponce(named after Juan Ponce de León) are alright. @@1stfrompuertorico568 would you say it's a materials issue or just plain money issue with some houses not being built to code ? If i lived on the island I would want something hurricane proof for sure ...
@1stfrompuertorico568
@1stfrompuertorico568 Жыл бұрын
@@MasrSR The materials are here for sure so are the engineers and architects with a building plan, so it's a money issue. Some people have to build according to their resources. It's like in the states, you have mobile homes and when you have a hurricane or a tornado, Which do you think will suffer? The less resistant, and in the states most homes aren't able to withstand over a category 3 because normally they don't have this type of hurricanes or even tornadoes until they happen. They are built to withstand cold temperatures and are built from wood because is less expensive and do not crack with freezing temperatures like happens with concrete. So now you see many homes in Florida, low Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas how homes are built more resistant to these types of situations.

Have now used this to clean house siding and it performed well kzbin.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX I also bought some wand extensions which enabled higher washing without needing a ladder. I recommend both. This unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (only had to attach the handle), and arrived in perfect condition. The only very slight downgrade from a perfect score is the design has a low handle and requires pulling from the side. My old washer was an upright model, while this one is more horizontal. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs. It has a great deal of pressure and more easily cleaned the house siding, porch rails and concrete than did my older model. The engine is a bit louder, as well, but the total time to clean was reduced by the more powerful spray. Did I mention it starts on the first or second pull every time?!! I am definitely happy with this model.
