Ended up getting this kit and the lights work well but you have to put together carefully or you can mess it up. I also wouldn’t have metal buttons on the led lights because that shit will heat up.

2:48 there are no releases along the sides, this tool isn’t required, but it is if you’re new to this. 3:08 here he says that there’s “no going back” if you ruin the ribbon cable. You could buy a new ribbon cable from eBay or Amazon for like $1.50. 8:08 see the main board hanging off? This dude is royally fucking up the wires that lead to the rumble motors. Desolder the motors from the mainboard as soon as you see the rumble motors during this process. Use a flux dispenser and a soldering iron. No solder is needed. 12:13 if you have a charge board with a ribbon to the right, you’d typically get the same JDS to fix it if need be. This new board has the ribbon port on the left, let’s see if that’ll fuck up the mod. In conclusion, he folded the ribbon cable, and it didn’t fuck up the mod. That’s new. Before you close her up, use some flux and an iron, resolder the motors, use the solder on the board, unless you’ve pumped it off. In which case, instead, use lead-free rosin core solder to resolder.

You're wrong, there are two clamps/clasp on each side near r1 and l1. If you break them off completely you could get phantom inputs and the only way to fix it is tightening the screws as much as you can which can wear the threads on the plastic.
