@jerryhayden87202 жыл бұрын
@@TheShmeebitdog I'm betting you now wish you had got at least another zero on the back side of that number now. If we only knew the times would become so strange. I once worked with an old mountain man that one time when we was waiting on our loads to get loaded so we could hit the road, we was truck driver's, anyway he had known we for a long time and trusting me to not let the cat out of the bag, we talking about our gun's and his favorite being 22 which he had several model's but he quietly in a low voice after looking around told me he had, been over 30 years so I don't remember exactly, but I do remember he said he had something like way over one million rounds of 22LR. 22 was his thing. Apparently he had wisdom. Many of us were gonna, could a, should've, but the volume we did get, well, falls way short of what we should have got and then there's the reloading stuff that's not ever quite been put into service. I could kick myself for being so short sighted. 3000 rounds when they were that cheap. Amazing you still have any of those left. Oh well. I still have a brick, almost, left of 22lr that says Ted Williams on it and it's an old box of them. I sure like the crack that 22 mag makes. I just thought they cost too much. Now I know I didn't know.😵

Thanks for another great video WTW. My first scope was a little 4x weaver that was included in the cost of the rifle which was a Stevens model 15 .22 LR. Once I had it zeroed it was a tack driver at 50 yards. The whole set cost 29.95 brand new at Sears in the late 70s. I only fed it CCI Stinger ammo.

That Rem GB ammo is pretty low quality IME, but I'd take that and tweek the sight in at 100 yds on a calm day and let the 50 yd impact where they will. The scope really needs PA capability, especially for the shorter ranges. But that scope is entirely usable. I love those CZ rimfires!

I'd love to see the difference in POI between 36 and 40 grain bullots at the 50 and the hundo. Especially because it seems like my rifle likes the 40s better anyways. This scope would be perfect for me once I get my hunting license sorted out.

The problem with precision shooting with supersonic 22LR ammo is that they go trans-sonic fairly quick after 50 yards. Most precision long range 22 LR shooters out to 300 yards use subsonic ammo. The CCI standard velocity is my go to for high accuracy low cost 22 LR ammo.

I'm always interested in another 22lr scope. Best round ever, to plink and play with. I have a 10-22 with one of the cheapest scopes I've ever bought, $32. It's a Barska 3-7x20 rimfire. I got tired of shooting targets with it, and started shooting clothespins at 50 yds, and Rx pill bottles filled with water at 100 yds. It's a nail driver. I'll definitely check out the CT for one of my other rifles.

I’ve always been happy with the Barska scopes. The glass isn’t as clear as some higher end scopes, but they tend to be decent scopes. Had a 3-12x50 Barska on my .270 Mossberg ATR. It stayed sighted in for 7 years till I sold it. Can’t ask for more than that!!
