Very graphic and dramatic. No women of any tribe, in Gaul, Germania or Brittania, would have been able to defeat an experienced Legionary in single combat, unless the Roman was injured or somehow disadvantaged. Women of those cultures were known to have used the sling and bow, both deadly in experienced hands; but they are ranged weapons, in close quarters battle, the Roman would win.

@davidmurray5399 Yes i think you are spot on in your comment in regard's to Amazonian women warriors fighting in battles, its true there were many, renowned and formidable but against a battle hardened Legionnaire in close quater fighting, im very doubtful.
