The pecking order is certainly interesting, as a South African citizen living in Australia I wanted to travel to the US. I went to the US consulate in Sydney with a folder of documents and prepared for a hundred questions. Australians don’t need US visas so everyone in there were from B grade countries. Some people in front of me were in the interviews rooms for ages. When I walked in she only asked me two questions: why was I travelling to the US and what was my visa status in Australia. As soon as I told her I had Australian permanent residence she told me all good, no more questions and that was it.

Panama is a good example, as their teak program, is a good deal for Americans. If you have a solid passport anyway, why not look into the Dominican Republic? Casa de Campo, is as nice as where I live in Miami Beach.

I think the best place would be a tropical paradise that is member of the NAM and a signatory of the NNPT. If you are a Christian with a mission in these countries, church properties are huge.

Family tree does not work for me :( All back to my great grandparents were born in Australia, and only two of my great great grandparents were not born here. It’s cool I was born in Australia but so many people i know have extra passports from grandparents or even parents born elsewhere.

My Mother was born in Newfoundland in 1917 and left there in 1945 to come to the states with my Father. Her Newfoundland passport stated that she was a 'subject of Great Britain' and since she never lived in Canada, should I try for a British passport? And, since I already have a U.S. passport, would it benefit me to try for a British passport at this time of covid?

As a personal comment based on my life experiences: I can justifiably say that for at least the last 50 years, there has been an established and strong American norm to consider certain people (as due to their [pre-determined] racial color ethnicity financial standing and etc...) as people with inherited qualities that should be accepted and recognized as being: "at the bottom of the barrel", "the worst of the most negative" and "the ones to look at as being demoralizing threats for a successful life and are/or positive future". For many years now the unknown as well as the well-known elitist have always done things (especially through the most popular media channels) to further enhance and forever extend this perception. Consequently this has involved the ethnicity utilization tactic of turning one nation of people against another nation of people; thus, essentially allowing people from other nations to have national USA priority, even over those who supposedly are already citizens of the USA State. All of that being said, as far as the United States is concerned and as has been economically reported, in actuality you now have a situation whereas primarily Chinese, Indian and Latin-South American (and/or associated others) citizens now control and/or own all the major buildings, businesses and/or even job markets within this USA nation. Although it is true and can be respected to say that all people of all Nations have a right to promote their own success; nevertheless, the American elitist (and their worldwide cohorts) having inevitably created a system whereas they and their children are now subjected to the same: rules, restrictions, economic fall-out, danger, disgrace, drugs, & etc... that they themselves had unrighteously directed towards all those who they felt most threatened by. Subsequently, without question, they are now trying to depart and escape the destruction that they themselves have initiated. Per example: look at all of the now continual, ongoing drug infestations, unnecessary domestic as well as global mass killings that is supported by and through the newer generations of South American countries. They have created an international system of problems that they're now trying to run away from. WR

Thanks for sharing Andrew. I am about fed up with the atmosphere here in the US and would like to explore other countries when this pandemic is over. I have a US passport I just recently received. But I'm exploring to get other passports. As of now, I'm just educating myself while in this pandemic. In the US, I experience the same nonsense on a daily basis. Which consist of people pretending to be friendly to you but in a covert mentality to work angles playing games. As soon as I see people getting close to me, they are nothing but potential trouble waiting to be happen. The US is the most immature country to live in. Hi, Really love your content! How does one acquire a family tree outside of online services ? Back when Portugal was granting passports for sephardic jew ancestry, I had reached out to an attorney in Israel, however my family is super broken in terms of communication & without the family tree I wasn't able to proceed further. I'm multiracial, with my Father coming from Ecuador and having Irish & Italian decent on my maternal side. I've dreamed of having dual citizenship my entire adult life and really want to achieve it! You don't need to give up the passport. If you leave in most cases, you will not be a resident of your country anymore. Then you have the ability to choose where you want to go and pay no tax to your home country unless you derive income there.

So if you are an American in a country working with a work Visa that includes residency while you are there , say 3 -5 years, would it be wise to buy an apartment to get the second citizenship? If I'm going to be there and my employer gives me a monthly stipend for "rent" it can pay for some of my real estate investment. This is a question not from a 7 or 8 figure perspective obviously. Yes. You probably even do it without a lawyer if you have your mother’s documents (ie a passport, birth certificate). Contact a Portuguese embassy. They’re usually very friendly and accommodating. Good luck.

Andrew, there has been a huge crying in the independent music entertainers industry lately, because music distributors in the USA (the ones sending our songs to Spotfy, Tidal, etc and collecting our royalties from all over the world) are withholding 30% of money generated globally from Nonresident aliens. you may set up a German, Greek, or Hungarian corporation, which is subject to zero withholding royalties from the US. However you need to ensure that you will not then be liable for corporate taxation in the country in which the corporation has been created.

Fat Cat is right. I have Canadian citizenship (by birth) and I lived for 30 years. Jamaican (by descent). Australian by naturalization. All three countries allow dual so I never had to give up on any of them.

You can get one in any case, deal citizenship is not a problem for you, because you are already an EU citizen so all EU countries accept other EU citizenships

Depends is the short answer. Normally the gains are the only things that are taxed, not the movement, so for example, if you get interest, your interest is taxed, but if you just moved it, no problem. Find an accountant who specializes in that to get actual advice rather than my general answer which is not and should not be considered financial advice :P
