A lot of people tell us that they have trouble trying to figure out how to setup and operate the Gold Bug 2 so these are my best settings for using one in the field to find that very tiny Gold. They can also be used in the Hard Rock mines to find that beautiful specimen Gold too. And for more vids on metal detecting watch this vid kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3u1g4mIpZqKedE. Let us know what settings you like to use on the GB2 and smash that like button...SMASH it HARD.

Using a gold bug is like cooking a steak. Low and slow. Sorry. Them other arm swingers think they can fly through a patch. Oh well. I loved the video. Fisher actually had a different Gold bug 2. It was a great machine but much too complicated for the average Joe. So they went back to the original Goldbug with just a couple tweaks. These are great machines You can actually hear the difference in between the different minerals there’s that precision especially if you’re advanced ! My first goldbug was 000327 I got in the early 80s I I own about every gold detector there is the Goldbug is a machine of its own and always will be!

Thank you Jeff I have some similar areas I’m going to hit when I can break away from work. I just got the gold bug 2 with the digital display and there is a wide range of ground balancing to dial in if I press down on the knob it brings me to 75 It seams to be harder to get to where I need to be. I’m going back up in today to test a little bit but it’s not the hot spot I found with all kinds of sign. There is a back fill I can’t tell if it was a tester hole or a played out claim. I so wish wish all my soul i could come out west to places like this & just explore! Until that day I continue to hunt New England untold treasures! If you ever in Southern Vermont definitely get ahold of me! I can bring you to a old gold mine that was a production mine for a short period of time. I could tell you so many stories about the old timers around here. I'm sure you know gold is a byproduct of copper. Check this out! 3 different copper mines in New England produced ' if I remember correctly ,300.000 tons of copper. My question is> where is all that gold?

Gold bug or gold monster? I like the monster better, never used either of them . However seen both used as far as operation I prefer the minelab 1000 gold monster, I can't afford either, I'm going to attempting building one, start with a cheap detector about $40-$50, to use the basic structure, the handle, cuff, tube. Then 3d print coils and covers I'm thinking 4.5" coil, and a 2.5"-3.5" x 10"-12"roughly, and a few other coils to experiment with. A6" pancake coil, and 5-6" cylinder coil, that is about 3-4" thick , and looking to run it between 60khz and 100khz. Possibly running 2-3 frequencies to help with discrimination, use a red led for iron likely targets, and blue for gold possibly targets, I really want to get out and hunt gold. In on 25-45 minutes from the Carolina slate belt, and there was a couple gold mines about 20-45 minutes from here. Depending on exactly where it was, but this was 1790's to 1850's. In ash county NC. The geology report says the ore was exceptional mostly gold with some copper they mined both. And something else, (can't recall,) $30+ to $76 per ton of gold in 1840's/50's dollars, the vein pinched and swelled and I think it got to the point it pinched and wasn't financially possible for a mining company to work not enough vein for them to profit, but at $2000/oz it is possible great for a few guys hit it hard for a few years. Pull out some $hiny $$$ I'd like to find out! As easy as nitro is to make, haha😮😮😮 boom💥
