Siyeon sings softly as easily as she belts it. The emotion she put into Speechless is there because she comes from a country that has traditional values just like the one in Aladdin. She knows very well what it's like to be told to shut up and stay in her place because she's a woman. That's what makes her version of the song better than all the others.

True that, mate. Honestly, I love that Siyeon really knows her voice and her limits. She has a very impressive voice and her emptions can always be heard, which is so hard to pull off. I sing and I don't think I can really display my emotions like she does. I've been singing since I was very little and am self taught, but I honestly really look up to Siyeon (Even though she is younger by me by quite a few months, born the same year though; Honestly, it's thanks to Dreamcatcher and BTS that make me want to keep trying harder and practicing more than I have before. I love singing and I do get emotional, but I really wanna be able to touch the people that hear me singing; I want to convey certain emotions and improve my breathing.) Yeah, I feel like Siyeon can relate to Jasmine in the sense that she is from a country that holds traditional values and being a woman there can be slightly more challenging than somewhere in the west.

i think the biggest strenght she has in singing is thata she knows her voice and her limits perfectly and it probably allows her to control it very well and being consistant. You should react to her overdose cover, it's 100% live and it's perfect lol

Most of her high notes are shouty (notice the difference between her part in ice cream and hYLT to that of Rosé's, the difference is clearly there. In a group like Blackpink maybe she can be lead but for kpop's standards s lead is still too much)

Siyeon is amazing! I absolutely love the tone in her voice and the edginess to it, kinda like used rock singing, if that makes sense (sorry not a singer). I think you should really check out Mamamoo. I don't even stan this group or even regularly listen to their music, but I highly respect their talents and they are arguably the best singers in kpop.

Yes Siyeon was in a Rock Band and also Choir before becoming a Trainee and Debuted. Her English Level judging from various video clips I've seen her speaking english is at least at the Intermediate level I'd say may be. None of the Dreamcatcher girls are actually fluent in English. The closest one by a pretty big margin would be Yoohyeon, she often translates her posts on apps and such to English herself. She also is the one who often talks and explains some stuff in English on their live streams and such. Siyeon is in the group of them right below her, she sometimes speaks in English on live streams and sings often in English, but she rarely talks in English in their official stuff like Yoohyeon would do. But yeah honestly the pronunciation of Siyeon is really good. You'll also be amazed if you listen to Yoohyeon's covers of "2002", "Secret Love Song", and "Perfect". There's only really one major tell in "2002" that shows she isn't native imo. Love the reactions though!

There are very few clips of their 100% live performance but they are gold. You can react to their radio performances in which the background vocals are so minimized that mixed with their loud vocal its like there's no back vocals at all and it may not be perfect but so amazing. All of their music station performance are amazing and some of it have their mics volumed up or they are just feeling themselves that their live voices are so dominant and so clear. Anyway good reaction and hope you can react to more Dreamcatcher videos.

oh yeah i totally agree with you about how it's overly produced. i love that cover by her a lot, but i think it didn't need that much done to her voice there (if at all). i'd love if you reacted to siyeon's performances from v-1 (it should show up when you search! there were three performances, three very different songs so you get to see her versatility) as well as their performances from a show called immortal songs (there's two, it's full group performances). OH AND ALSO! check out their performances on idol radio. it's all live performances, but be warned: they are usually having a lot of fun there and are just acting silly - especially sua. but it's fun and live vocals

i don't think you can make a reaction out of it since yt might copyright, but you should check out Siyeon's appearance on Masked Singer when you have the time! Especially when it comes to her reveal song cover Sweet by Lena Park. her voice is so sweet there. (you can find a link to it on the 7DreamSubs channel). i don't watch a lot of live fancams to know any that capture a good audio of their singing, so hopefully you get recommended some! EDIT: which reminds me, DC appeared on the show Immortal Song twice before and that show is known for live performances of covers of legend singers, so those could be worth checking out! it should have Handong there too~

I just watched another Reaction Video by Michal Towber Vocal Coaching and Just Like Sir Austin, Paul Leach (Who for a different Song/Video said Siyeon has Bel Canto) and even Disney; She didn't really find anything Wrong With Siyeon's Vocals as some are claiming elsewhere in these Comments. Sir Austin you should react to the Live Showcase Video for 'Dear' Lyrics, Composed and Arranged by JiU along with Leez and Ollunder. A song written by JiU for InSomnia in Appreciation of their Love and Support for Dreamcatcher. You get to hear each member including Dami sing. Also please re-check my earlier Comment as I edited updated it with additional comments and information. Also I forgot to mention even if you only have a Basic Level of English, you can still at times sound fluent while singing if you practice the lines enough and have a coach (JiU & SuA). A Prime Example would be The ?Swedish?Group ABBA if you are familiar with them (The Musical & Movie Mama Mia is based on their works) they didn't really speak a Word of English at all.

i dont know if this is just a bilingual thing, or just an english as ur second language thing but as a kid i would be able to sing with perfect pronunciation to english songs ive heard a lot, despite not understanding the language fully. in general i can sing english songs and sound fluent Siyeon knows some english of course, but id wager that she mimics the pronunciation she heard from the original song. a great example would be her We All Lie cover, where her pronunciation is less clear because she mimics the original singer’s pronunciation and the original singer’s pronunciation wasnt fluent

Glad you found that Idol Picknic clip, I knew you’d like that one. Lol Dami wanna be a main vocalist so bad 😆 if you watch live performances or clips where they’re goofing off you might catch Dami pretending to belt out Siyeon’s high notes. The ones that come to mind are their Wonderland performance on Super kpop radio and most recently the prop room dance video for Boca. As for live vocal performances, if you search “(members’ name) birthday fan meeting” between 2018-19 you’ll find some individual live performances but they are from fancams. For your information, it's been about three years since I've known K-pop. Let me briefly tell you about K-pop I know. * K-pop 1. Trendy K-pop (Idols) - Groups (Dreamcatcher, BTS, Blackpink, EXO, Ateez, Red Velvet, Twice..) Solos (IU, Ailee, Sunmi, Kang Daniel, Chungha, Ong Seong Woo, Yezi..) Bands (Nell, N.Flying, Yada...) 2. General K-pop - Solos (Park Ki Young, Ali, Park Hyo Shin, Kim Bum Soo, Whisung, Sohyang..) Groups (Forestella, Davichi, Dueto..) Bands (Jaurim, Shinawi, Next..) 3. Traditional K-pop I've roughly written down what I know so far. By the way, Sohyang, Park Ki Young, and Park Hyo Shin, which I mentioned above, are the best solo singers with David, Beyonce, Dimash, Lala, Monica, Nightwish...in the world. Siyeon ❤️💯 for me. Killed it. I love her vocals. My bias along with Dami. Not related really, but you should listen to Kihyun from Monsta x’s covers of Believer and Natural.

Thank you for this video. They are really slept on and any praises towards their talent are very welcome. Also watch me complaint on Twitter bc the sound production crew puts too loud backing tracks on their live performances (except Full Moon on KBS Music Bank that one just needed to be louder over there). Dami singing Adele's " Someone like you" is a mood. Maybe she is not main vocal material but still she does what she can with the voice she has - her part in "Jazz Bar" is still my favourite. Siyeon is my queen. She is not fluent in English to my knowledge but she is excellent in singing in this language. She always makes me feel things when she sings. Her cover of EXO's "Overdose" is probably better than the original. If I could suggest something. Before Dreamcatcher was Dreamcatcher, 5 out of 7 members formed the group MINX and theh just happened to cover Beyonce 's "End of Time"- I totally recommend you to listen to it since they sang it o the radio with minimal editing : kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5-0laqPpJZmb8U And to add a comment to this video specifically, her cover of "Speechless" is superior. Her delivery just moves your heart and her voice is just so unique - unforgettable. Even if you don't get to understand the lyrics. I really love her. And I'm glad she is recognized for her abilities. Once again thank you for making so many videos about Dreamcatcher - I really appreciate it. They are growing with every comeback and I am happy for them but they are not mainstream in anyway. And hearing professional complementing them is even more important since they have history of so called "music show experts" evaluating them below 0. Thank you! P.s. Honestly all her performances in the V1 show she was in are FLAWLESS. I'm sure you've been told about Overdose but she sang I believe 2 more song, very different styles... first a ballad and then her last song on the show was a more blues/jazz type of song... girl really was like "I'm gonna show them I can sing everything on this earth". pd: the end of this video had me laughing so hard omygod

@@SirAustin Re: 'Dear' Live performance I mentioned here in one of my many comments, other than the Showcase, the performance for the music show The Show seems to be Live Vocals as well, with minimum backing Track. Also Dami has 2 Vocal Lines and Yoohyeon and Siyeon Harmonize at one point on 'Dear.'

Special performance are all studio based, so we know that it's not a live performance. But that doesn't cover the fact that siyeon is still a beast at singing

I think the fact that they sound quite natural when speaking english have something to do with their world tours. They're way more popular overseas (therefore they held world tours) so they're probably quite familiar with english even if they're not totally fluent (except yoohyeon)
