Another aspect of taunt that I think is worth pointing out is the fact that you can use it to prevent thief enemies from running away with your stolen goods.

That is true. The main issue I have with taunt is that you typically need a shield and +90% of the best strength weapons are 2 handers

Elite Ambush is a fantastic skill for higher levels of play. Having the ability to single out targets from the over world can significantly help with leveling up and acquiring gold, especially in mid-game. Also, going first in combat (sometimes even having multiple turns before the enemy) can change the tide of battle heavily in your favor.

So you’re main point is super important, acting fast in combat…but that’s typically done with high speed. After Glittering Mines, I honestly avoid all attacks in the overworld. XP is pretty much irrelevant in this game and you get plenty of gold on the main quests, mini dungeons and sea caves.

Thanks a lot for the guides. Will be waiting the last one with impatience ! As a side note, I have an ongoing run on medium difficulty, which is coming to the late game, and which I have not manage to find any party heal yet, but is still rolling awesome. Probably because I went over the board with your good skills. I have a minstrel with a distraction trinket, a busker with an encourage trinket (and refocus hat), and a trapper with yet an other distraction trinket... The whole theme of this team is to support each other, and for now, it is doing great (although, quite expensive in herbs...)

Out standing video. Just a few items you missed. Divine loute also gives party heal and you can obtain encourage through the golden rough necklace. Keep up the good content my friend!

Great work my friend! What party setup do you recommend for the Hildebrant's cellar?

Everyone typically states Scholar / Monk / Minstrel and I agree with that. I did a recent stream running Scholar / Monk / Trapper and easily got to level 10 but the encourage and added stat to Minstrels talent would have been better than the higher speed in this game mode.

It kinda depends on what direction you want to take. I like Gloomhaven and Sea Horizon. It also looks like FTK2 is coming soon in some capacity

Gather herbs has been really nice in the beginning game stacking herbs, once I reach level 4ish it’s less useful

Gather herbs is a nice bonus if you can get it (kind of why I like the Herbalist too). There's a lot of trade off in the game with certain skills and abilities being good early/late and then being not as helpful early/late.

I guess the two new DLC "Lost Civilization" chars with their abilities "Glory" (even rarer than Called Shot but can be used 2/3 times in a row) and "Black Hole" (pretty much a free instakill and very rare [especialy when triggered on a 1HP opponent xD]) wouldn't make a huge difference here and would

Yeah, I heard about those abilities. I purposefully left them out of my next video because you should be able to take the content I create an discern what new heroes are good or not in the future.

Inspire isn't good? Umm not true. It's the easiest way to level up to 15

Leveling up in general is not that important, hence why that skill isn't that great.
