Nice to hear from our British brothers while a fantastic British product that is unparalleled in sniper/long distance rifles. There's not another rifle in the works that approaches the accuracy of AI's products. Many thanks to your country for sharing these with the colonies. I know the AI product extremely well. I was a sniper and used one in a little skirmish that required my skills as my very last mission, when I said I would not take any more assignments. Nonetheless I took one more and as a reward I was given an AI to use. The assignment went well and I was gone within one week. The rifle shot perfectly, as I anticipated. AI produces the finest sniper rifle systems I've ever used and ever will use. My sincere thanks to Accuracy International for their consistently fine work.

best way to buy stuff you can‘t afford is per credit... the chance to pay of a credit is way higher than saving money (for me at least - saving is cheaper thats for sure) i‘ve to pay 1000€ for the Credit each month for my apartment and it is possible.... „saving“ 1000€ each month would be impossible....even it is the same amount, it makes a difference... between paying back and saving is a huge difference... for me at leadt... i would never take credit for a gun...😂

Dual1911s Not always true. My local shop has one in 300 Win Mag for $2,300. It’s way huge caliber and as such expensive to shoot so resale is way cheaper then it deserves to be. Gs Xr I haven’t been back and it’s no longer on their website. You may be correct, although it sold so quick I find it hard to believe it’s just a Rem 700 for that price. Where I’m at everything over 7mm Mag is cheap as chips used, but since I didn’t see it in person and I’m simply using my often wrong memory I’m guessing the edge in you being right is most likely. The return to zero wasn’t good at all. But the reason is you didn’t torque the barrel on at the same spec each time and you didn’t torque the set screw to the same spec each time either so it’s not really a fair test for the rifle. I’m sure if you did those things it would have been dead on each time. Just like a dt srs if you follow the instructions it works every time and is dead on. If you don’t it’s close but not dead on. Great stuff as always though Joel love your content.

1/10th mil down, 1/10th mill to the rightat 100 yards, not meters, you should be able to place all shots in a 1/4 moa group, I know I can do it with my .223 Remington 700 pss 1:12 twist 24"barrel , my 308 does 1/4 moa at 200 yards. Both guns were made in 1995 in Ilion NY and have consecutive build numbers. They are parkerized with Grey McMillian or HS precision stocks and aluminum bedding blocks. The two of them cost $1246.00 for the pair, the only work done on them was replacing the ejection spring.

Ok, so repeatability isn't perfect re. barrel removal. Who's going to remove the barrel, absent some catastrophic failure, when sniping?? As far as repeatability, I'm more concerned with the scope. But...what about headspace? Based on the location of the front site cutout on the barrel, it looks as if it's indexed correctly, so probably not an issue? Looks like an awesome weapon platform, how does it compare with something like the Rangemaster, or even Desert Tech's new bullpup bolt gun? Thanks for the videos, great job guys. God bless.

K.I.S.S Reviews some people start out with quantity over quality. It’s obviously smarter to go the other way but it takes time and research to achieve this and frankly it seems wasteful. Why have one “perfect” gun when I can have nine pretty awesome guns? Some people never deviate from this thought and that’s not necessarily a bad thing, and some people are douche princesses who only ever buy the best and they are equally pretentious and stupid. If you have a sublime Beretta OU Trident shotgun and a HiPoint we can hang but if all you own are $10,000 guns I certainly don’t have time for you. Still, complaining mouth breathers are an easy target because they are so dim they don’t always know when you are insulting them. 🤪

Gs Xr absolutely but it’s still a hard pill to swallow when you spend serious money to but a bit of accuracy and actually end up with a turd. It happens way too often because hype is a real thing. My AR side mount bipod cost me $175 on sale. Pretty decent but heavy and not spring deployment. These things cost money and I wish I could afford high quality glass and bipods for my guns but “unfortunately” I have too many guns for that. I’m at quantity and not quality at the moment, but I’m slowly converting. Smart people start with quality but it’s very hard to know what you want without the experience of having a bunch of guns, especially if you don’t have relatives growing up who shoot.

Andy P agreed, when it starts getting heavy light weight gear is worth the premium. My competition gun is as light as can be and function reliably before I load it down with two sets of sights, slings, free float forends and bipods as well as a QD sling and massive muzzle brake. It’s gotta be 12lbs and if I had $2,000 to spare all that gear would be swapped and my final gun would still be close to 10lbs but so worth it. (I’m not good enough to justify this expense so I’ll simply build another race gun and perhaps hit the gym 😊).

That’s actually a good sign. It means you have multiple mid-high level guns and thus experience. Experienced experts means you can place a higher value on their opinion, that means you can read/watch less sources for quality information. (Sorry, I don’t ever believe any one opinion because bias is a real thing, and if you spend loads of money often you will try to justify this expense otherwise risk looking stupid. I honestly prefer people who don’t hide it when they don’t know something).

I had a feeling I wasn't the only one that would notice that. Seriously, if you can let a rifle like this collect dust you're either too broke to buy ammo or so loaded down with top tier rifles you just can't shoot it that much. If I had a stable full of top tier rifles I'd probably only take it out like good scotch; "special occasions". Let some other poor thing go through multiple barrel replacements.

Clearly a fantastic sniper rifle. Great vid. I think a lot of us wonder how much the extra $________ buys you in regards to accuracy? I'd love to see the cost breakdown in $$$$ / MOA. Meaning, what if you compared this to a nice $4K total sniper rifle? Transfer the same optic on this AI to a $2000 long-range rifle and then compare. Same shooter. Same range. Same optic. Different rifle. How many MOA 'less' does the AI $4K buy you at 100 yds, 500 yds, and 750 yds? It would be interesting to compare.

AT308 user here. Dont buy the 26inchs barrel! Its too long with any suppressor or muzzle brake, unless you would like to self load ultra heavy bullet to shoot over 1000 yards.

Great video. It would be more interesting to know what the 3 shot (or better a five shot) group of the remove/replace barrel group was. The one shot was an inch off the target point, but what were the three shots in relation to each other, as a three shot group? Just like a regular three shot group, with a twist ( a lot of twists from the vid). That would seem to be a very good way to make your repeatability case - everything is the same (controlled) except the barrel part. Maybe stay in position and have someone do the barrel for you?

when you change the barrel, you must use a torque wrench and tight to the specified torque to get back the same impact. (not tight by hand if you looking the accuracy)

It depends on the action/reciever system and how its designed. Im sure the lads that designed this system knew what they were doing when they made it to be hand tightened.

@@colb9916 The true is in the manuals. For the competition, and for perfect accuracy you must be accurate, it's better, like this you put all chance with you. If you tight more, or if you tight less, it's not the same, the vibrations of the barrel are not the same, so the point of impact is not the same. With AICS, PGM ultima Ratio, Unique RS1, SSG 3000, ...., all these use the same system with 6 lugs bolt(3 lugs locked in the "bushings" for barrels, for the get the same headspace, after each change of barrel)you can tight by hand but it's recommended to use torque wrench.
@colb9916
@colb9916 5 жыл бұрын
@@therangersbulldogs6350 Like i said. It Depends on the design of the system. Not everything needs to be tightened down to 100 plus foot pounds of torque. My Competition rifle is set into place @ 50 inch pounds. Thats 4.166667 foot pounds.. less than i can tighten it by hand. The rifle and handloaded ammunition is tuned to be most accurate at that setting. It consistantly groups between .25 and .30 MOA . ( 1/4 - 1/3 inch at 100 yards ). The Rifle in this vid is designed to change barrels without tools, and not have a dramatic change of impact point , as the demonstration targets show, it seems to work within the perameters they've stated .

Next is the CZ line of 22. Valquartson is also another highly respected name in the rim fire business that a lot of pros use but they are around 2k and higher.

I dissagree. Sako doesn't support it's product in the US market nearly as well as AI. Add to that some of the stupidity of the M10 like the 1/11 twist 300WM barrel when 300WM really needs a 1/9 to stabilize the 225gr & 230gr loads that it needs to aviod being significantly held back ballistically. Or the kick in nutz of the price of Sako accessories like $250 magazines lol. Or the fact that Sako only offers it's rifle in 3 calibers there's no 6.5cm, no 300PRC, no 300NM and if you want to have an M10 barrel custom made by a US gunsmith you need a donor barrel to haverst the barrel extention off of which is a PTA and adds cost.
