The most perceptive statement I've heard from anyone in a long time. He's also the greatest frontal in the history of rock....but such a primadona thats not even worth it in the long run. Check out the Guns N Roses Behind the Music and spend an hour just feeling for what all the other band members put up dealing with him. Also look up Metallica feud with Axl which is very amusing. On the other hand Axl and Slash were both the best at what they do and all their songs are worth checking out.

My friend paid $2,000 each for GnR VIP tickets about 4 years ago (whenever they did the first tour back with Slash) and all they got was a swag bag and a tour of the stage where they could take pictures of the set…. I was like “No meet and greet? No pictures with the band? No autograph?” She said no cause Axel has anxiety and doesn’t meet fans…. UMMMM for $2,000 ($4,000 for the two tickets) he better be taking me out to lunch and rubbing my feet

I had the opportunity to see them live back when they were still touring. They opened with welcome to the jungle, and the entire stadium was pitch black, all the lights were out. When the beat came in after the guitar intro, the whole place lit up with fireworks, and gigantic inflatable monsters from the inside of the Appetite for Destruction album cover were floating over the crowd. The crowd went absolutely nuts and was my favorite part of any concert that i've been to. To this day the memory of that when i listen to the song makes my hair stand on end. It was an absolutely spectacular show and i'm so glad i got to see them before they broke up. They're just as good, if not better live than recorded.

I think it was more complicated than that. Grunge was killing hair metal already and Axl was desperate to work with guys like Cobain while Cobain wanted nothing to do with Axl. The UYI tour was likely the final nail in the coffin. They bit off more than they could chew and the dramas and chaos of being on the road finished them off. While Axl was an asshole, it's unfair to pin everything on him when everyone else in the band was off their heads on every drug and drink they could get their hands on (according to Izzy, who returned for a few dates on the tour and was shocked by what they'd become).

Calling Axl a Diva is an understatement. Is temper Literally started at least one riot. And It was because of him (and the massive amount of drugs and alcohol they were all doing) the band broke up. He would show up hours late for practice. And an hour late for live shows. They were all messed up and erratic because of the drugs and alcohol but he took it to a whole other level. And he is one of those artist types (the mood swings, the pretension and the inflated ego).

Okay I absolutely adore Lex rocking out during this. She's adorable. G&R is a great example of an amazing band whose glory was cut short by the issues of their front man. They were amazing, but they could have done so much more and never really had the chance.

Girl, let it out! This entire song is a masterpiece but the last two minutes are perfection. It’s my favorite song to listen to at the gym, the ending really does get you moving. If you guys haven’t checked out November Rain yet, that one’s probably more Brad’s speed and it’s a beautiful song/video. Loved this reaction!

The black & white footage was filmed at Donnington Monsters Of Rock 1988 ( UK) GnR were only the second band to play that afternoon. Crowd was crazy , we all got crushed, 2 young guys died.. My first show. A baptism of fire 🔥 I often wonder if the footage from the UK show was black and white out of respect?

I grew up with Guns and Roses I just seen them in 2021 at Wrigley Field in Chicago I love rock and roll I was a teenager in the 70s and nothing in my mind replaces rock and roll Guns and Roses they make you feel alive and it's so exciting listening to axel and the rest of the guys they put on a great show all their music is great and it makes you feel inside alive and yes Goosebumps I feel so sorry for the kids today that didn't get the opportunity to live in one of the greatest heroes and that's the 70s as a teenager. Rock music is the boss you can tell the difference who's singing and there's instruments the music today there's no instruments how about that lead guitarist his name is Slash as far as I'm concerned he is one of the best guitar players in the world I love him I love Guns and Roses try to listen to the song Civil War estranged Welcome to the Jungle yesterday Sweet Child of Mine patience November Rain you could be mine that song was in Terminator 2 and Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted Guns and Roses to do that song for the movie Arnold Schwarzenegger is a big fan of Guns and Roses stick with rock and roll it will make you feel good inside
