Catback doesn’t void your warranty only if you do something with air induction like intake,headers,turbo inlet,j pipes,tgv deletes,egr deletes or modifications with other type of gasolines like ethanol or methanol.

He voided the warranty once he put that intake on, especially if it’s tuned (which it absolutely should be when you do any power mods aside from a catback or drop in air filter such as k&n). May as well do the jpipe.
