I really want the Tomei exhaust and I know it would make my sti sound so good. But I just like the quad tip so much more, I don’t know how I feel about the single tip exhaust.

Awesome sound bro. I will admit it does sound more fun than the r400. Not better, just louder... Personally, I just can't ditch the quad look, more important than the sound for me... But your video has just given me a cool idea on what to make next... A new rear section that mounts onto the stock diffuser piece and has only one cutout for single exhausts.

If you go to a muffler shop and have them cut out the resonator on the R400 and weld in a pipe, it will sound much better.

My brother runs this same exhaust on his wrx. The pops are pretty great. The sound is fantastic. Gets alitlle drony on long drives but still sounds great.

Cold starts without the stratified start will not be all that louder. The stratified start to heat up the cats is not activated in your tune. Great video, sounds nasty! (please change the description to have the DW300c not be the HPFP... it's not.)

How do you go catless in a state that requires emissions. Was always curious about catless and if the sensors still read the emissions correctly, my guess is no but I need confirmation. Can anyone elaborate?

If you live in a state that requires emissions then technically you cant pass if your catless. And you have to dyno tune the car if you run catless

Absolutely love love the sound of Tomei but goddammit why isnt it dual 😭. If it was dual i would get it in a heart beat but being in VA here im sure i would get pulled over bc it is loud but not ricey loud, deep loud like you said. Question though, if the cold starts was the issue to R400 not sounding loud enough why not put back on your TGV deletes and or EGR delete? When you did the flyby with the R400 THAT was the best sounding not to loud, not to quiet setup ive ever heard on a wrx :drool: 👍
