I own one, what an incredible car, thanks for highlighting... the shape, still turns heads today... and highly customizable. Great content as always 👏 👌🏽

Just bought a mint low km dsg example. Love the exhaust note of that Cobra system, that will be the first mod to be done.

You could get a 3.2 in the MK1 TT also.

Yup, and despite the same engine, very different experience with the smaller design. Both great cars! Thanks for the feedback on both episodes! 👍

What spoiler do you guys have fitted that is still on the hydrolics?
@WhyBuy2 ай бұрын
From what I recall the spoiler fits directly where the OEM spoiler is positioned. This mod still used the stock actuators, just increased the profile, and is carbon fibre :) Not too sure on the brand that makes them, (apologies, this was a guest on the show and we didn't collect that info)

Have you drive the car in winter?
@molins914 ай бұрын
I have got the chance to get it for free but it has 225.000 kms. Please, could anyone tell me if it's a good choice to take it or it's too old and it will have some engine problems. Right now I've got an old 2005 1.6 fsi golf that works well. I love this TT but don't know what to do. Many thanks in advance

There is nothing wrong with 225,000km, but there are some things to consider - if you buy a car with high kms, then you should make sure it has a lot of service history, with the engine, the haldex and the gearbox oil changes. Ideally at 225,000km you would need to check the timing chain - has it been done? If so, then that's good. But if it hasn't been done, you can find out the condition of it by scanning the car. I think when you buy a car with high amount of kms, it really helps to have some help from a mechanic or someone who knows about these cars, so I would really advise to go onto a TT owners club and ask for help in the area where the car is, there are lots of people out there who can help you. Check the car for any excessive corrosion, check the brake condition, take it for a test drive and listen for knocking sounds, or unexpected vibrations. Best advice is to be very calm and be prepared to walk away if the car is not what you hoped for. Good luck

It's a free audi tt definitely take it for sure. But like the other guy says make sure its got some decent service history or be prepared to spend money. I had a 2.0t dsg 2007 one one previous owner and was on 145k miles and it was completely fine and sold it on 185k miles but again it was looked after and had the audi service intervals at the right time but yes they are definitely reliable if looked after. I was 17 when I got that car aswell and apart from fuel being expensive (partly my fault because I drove it all the damn time for fun) I was able to handle the costs. Only things that went wrong was a brake caliper went bad and glovebox snapped inside both common issues

There are VR6 and V6 MK2's depending on the year, and 1:58 is clearly a V6 and not VR6, it is the same V6 that been used in 3.2L A5.
@NA-xz9osАй бұрын
I have the same car and it’s a vr6. The tt only ever came with one 6 cylinder option, the vr6. There was never a standard v6 option, even tho on paper it says v6 just to not confuse people, which it looks like it did anyway haha.

im getting my second car and im hesitating between a audi tt and 350z
@WhyBuy2 ай бұрын
Both are great options, especially for aftermarket support. It genuinely comes down to the experience you want, and budget of course. Good luck, hopefully you get to drive them back to back, dig a little deeper, and find the right car. Thanks for watching!
