Hi Sandro, firstly acknowledging the time taken to prepare, mask, apply products and test - much appreciated. I use Gyeon Wet Coat on my alloy wheels including inside wheel arches and black mesh grill on the latest Hyundai Tucson. I find it allows the wheels to remain cleaner from brake dust a lot longer and cleaning is easy, it lasts 3 months. I previously used Car Pro Hydro2 on my previous 1999 Camry where the clear coat had failed on the roof and bonnet. On those 2 areas when applied with Hydro2, it left both surfaces with a satin sheen and some protection. But not as good as the other panels which still had clear coat. Again, thanks for the time to complete the testing and your opinions.

Really great comparison, and I like that you go above and beyond the manufacturer's specs and try it in a few different ways. Just picked up a 100 ml bottle of Hydro2 (enough to do my F150 twice) and I'm pretty excited to try it out. Wet Dreams also looks like an excellent option and I plan to give it a shot as well once I've used up the CarPro stuff. Thanks for a really concise and well shot video! You just earned a subscriber.

Then I use Bowdens Soft cloth for drying and then give it a buff with a dry microfiber. Seems to bring up the gloss and water behaviour as you demo here. Bowdens have some really good products now. Awesome video and review and comparison Sandro! I have used Gyeon Wet Coat the old version around 5L of it I think. That needed to be applyied after every wash 3-4 times to build up the performance from it. Then I got it it to last 3 months in the winter months here in Sweden after the last application and when I where no longer able to wash cause of the below the freezing point. So was interested when I got the new version of Gyeon Wet Coat. What I noticed directly where that I got the higher performance from it after the first application. With a slightly longer longevity from it with a higher performance from it until it started to degrade. And also as you noticed a more glossy finish I noticed from it too. The old version of Gyeon Wet Coat got me sharper gloss while the new version got me a deeper and more candied gloss from it. Very noticeble on my Kia cee'd SW with a silver metallic paint. Something that is a benefit with the Gyeon Wet Coat is that I get a great performance from it even when I have just done a chemical decon step and Carpro Reset wash. Have also used Carpro Hydro2 lite and Sonax Spray and Seal and Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax and Turtle Wax Dry N Shine Rinse Wax. Sonax Spray and Seal gives me the highest gloss from these spray on rinse off products. HCW gets me a very high performance when I do a polishing step prep. When I dried the paint the TW Dry N Shine Rinse Wax gave me a crazy slickness from it and the drying towel feeled like it was not even on the paint but flyied over it LOL. But that was gone fast sadly. The method I use when I apply these spray on rinse off products. Is that I wet the paint and 2 sprays per panel and try to mist it on as even as possible. Then I take a damp mf applicator sponge and spread it out on the panel and the larger size panels I use 2 more sprays. And take the PW to thoroughly use the water pressure from it and hit every part of the paint. Dry as usually after this. This method gets it easy to work with and also an even application of these spray on rinse off products. That otherwise can be uneven and splotchy if applyied as recommended. Also I use way less of product when doing this. Just wring out the mf applicator sponge after every panel so it's just not dripping and for me this works awesome. Will try to apply on small sections with the dry method and with drying it off completly. Awesome tips and trix Sandro and thanks for shareing your experience with us!

So you get a more inconsistent application with spray and rinse Vs spray and wipe? Makes complete sense. You trade application quality for convenience. Makes complete sense. When you say they work better with a wipe down, do you mean before rinsing or after rinsing or simply drying completely with no rinse at all? 303 Touchless had exceeded all my expectations for almost a year now in every way possible. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. It's ability to self clean and maintain gloss makes it a winner for daily drivers here in New England anyway. It's amazing on glass. That alone makes it great.

They are two very different products so it really depends on your needs. Can Coat is really more closely matched to CarPro CQ Lite as they are both light versions of ceramic coatings, where as Hydro2 is more closely matched to Gyeon Wet Coat as they are both touchless spray and rinse car sealants. So it really depends on what you’re after. Maybe this video will also help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3yml3iios2MfpI

@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Appreciate your work and reply! How about in comparison with Meguiars hybrid wax or CMX vs Can Coat. I'm novice user and just want good results and value
@CarCraftAutoDetailing4 жыл бұрын
As Can Coat is still a true ceramic coating, you will find that it’ll be more durable and perhaps perform a little better than both HCW and CMX which are sealants. Can Coat will be a bit more tricky to apply by comparison and it’s also more expensive as you get more applications with the other two, so it again depends on whether you’re after a coating or sealant.

@@CarCraftAutoDetailing This has been very helpful. I will do more research. As a user who hasn't used any of this it's hard for me to see the difference between ceramic sprays and sealants as they both have very similar properties

Carpro says the dilution ratio for hydro2 is 1:3 🤷🏻♂️ Making it now, expensive

Not using it anymore , 3 months protection is too low.

@@Jayg80 I am using a non famous product but when I saw the results on forums I was hooked !! It's duragloss 105 ,wich works even better when properly mixed with 601. Go in my channel, look at the result :) You need to apply by hand but it's super easy and cheap to do. With 50ml I do a CLA

What final coat do you use or recommend for a punter with a low budget regarding durability/beading/cost and gloss?
@patrickvennard8385 жыл бұрын
I do not think there is much difference between Carpro and Gyeon, in the UK a one-litre container of Gyeon works out cheaper.

@@CarCraftAutoDetailing You can get a litre of Wet Coat for the same price as mixing Hydro2 which only makes 750 mls. around £18 or 34 Australian Dollars.

Awesome video Sandro! HydrO2 has always treated me well 🙂 I do have a side question, as usual! Have you had a chance to compare Multi X to Shine Supply’s Solution? I would love to know your thoughts as I absolutely love both CarPro and Shine Supply, but haven’t been able to try the two. Would be great to know your thoughts!

Car Craft Auto Detailing Would love to know what you think! The ones I hear most about are Multi-X, Shine Supply Solution, and American Detailer Garage F-Bomb. A test would be awesome. 🙂 What is your current go-to?

Hey I just got myself some hydro2. Did you apply with spray and rinse? Or with spray and wipe and rinse? And can I have like the details on your dilution ratio and how long it sat and if you applied a clay bar to your car before applying. Please let me know

Thanks, and although these spray and rinse products certainly have some great advantages and strengths, I’d still say a spray and wipe for a general sealant tends to have a better feel and finish.

Does anyone know where i can find a good guide on protecting car paint? My question is, can I use these spray sealant after I clay my car AND THEN top it off with Meguiars HCW / TW Seal and Shine? Or is this redundant?
