It's definitely insane. I know I should stop buying them but it's so tough as they are my favorites. The Sisley items I usually get on sale. You can also check out allbeauty which is a great place to get some of their products at a discount and I've never gotten anything old there btw. Everything I have bought has been fresh.

I’m so intrigued by the Jimmy Choo glosses! I also find that the Surratt glosses are very long wearing. They are a little sticky…but I don’t mind given the longevity. This video is a keeper! Thank you!

Hi Lexi, I'm so happy you reviewed the Violette Fr balms. I've been interested in them for a while, but some people say they dry out their lips terribly, so I have yet to take the plunge. You don't seem to have that problem and they look really nice on you. I'm in the market for a lipstick or two. I was able to try the WA lipsticks and didn't like them either. Between Violette FR and say, Victoria Beckham lipstick, which would you go for?

They don't dry out my lips but I purchased mine after they were reformulated last summer to be more moisturizing. I wouldn't say they are hydrating though. I think it depends if you prefer satin or matte. I like the VB lipsticks but they can emphasize fine lines on the lips; however they are comfortable to wear and more hydrating than the Violette. I think the Violette are the best for matte finish but I tend to lean towards satin finishes most often. You may also want to look at the Surratt lipsliques for a satin finish as they are similar to the VB but a bit softer and more forgiving on the lips imo.

@@LexiJong, thanks so much for your response, Lexi. I purchased two lipsticks from VB, in the colors Pose and Twist. I haven't received them yet, but I hope they'll be good. Next time, I'll get the Bitten lip tint. I might order only the Boum Boum milk from Violette FR at some point.

The Jimmy Choo in rose blush is beautiful. A strong shine without being sticky like a Laqueur. It evens out lip wrinkles and is long-wearing. I don't like the perfume, but the packaging even more so. Thanks to your recommendation, I bought the 05 Gloss and used it up. That's how much I like him.

I love the Guerlain KissKiss lip balms, and you introduced me to them! Poppy is my favorite for exactly the reason you said! It’s a subtle red lip for when you want that pop of color to brighten your complexion, but you don’t want the BAM or maintenance of a red lipstick. It’s great for summer!! I LOVE a thicker gloss. And it lasts for hours?? Wow! I need to try the Jimmy Choo asap! Do they have any plumping sensation or are they called plumping because the shine gives the illusion of plumping? I am DEFINITELY trying the Tacha. I have been searching for SPF lip products that don’t taste terrible forever! I will try Midnight Lily first! I wish the Tacha product had a clear version to top a lip look when you just want some SPF protection over a lipstick without changing the color. (But I know it’s called a lip tint so they won’t do a clear one) The lip twists are so pretty! 🤩 I don’t know why, but I’ve always loved a lip crayon! It just appeals to me! I will put the Sisley on my wish list!

I don't feel any plumping sensation with the JC but they definitely have a lot of shine. Please let me know if you try the JC or sisley crayons. I always love lip crayons too but nothing has ever surpassed the sisley ones for me.

For this summer, I am planning Wanderlust by Ilia and Raspberry Radiance by Clé de Peau. Plus, a gaudy blue eye shadow by Lise Watier and maybe a beige color from The Rock Chick by Charlotte Tilbury and maybe a green eye shadow by Chantecaille, the "tiger" one. However, I change my mind sometimes.

Interesting video, thanks so much, dear Lexi for making this one, gonna have look!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩Any sensation in a lip product is a no for my sensitive lips, in summer i mostly want to wear simple stuff indeed, well i always want it simple, very bold lips make me 20 years older, love what i have, have more lipgloss/oil/balm type of products, most used and most loved still the PMG lipgloss in the lighter shades, Dior, Clarins and Ilia lip oils, coloured balm only Chantecaille. When i'm in the garden i'm just to lazy, i put the face spf also on my lips. Gonna look here how to update things, thanks so much Lexi, another great video, have a wonderful day!!!!😘😘😘😘

Very nice video:) I love Sisley Lip Twists, my favourites are 1 Nude, 24 Rosy Nude and 11 Litchi, which is almost same color as Tom Ford Spanish Pink. I wish though there was some reshaping mechanism to preserve the tip, also the packaging is a bit cheap looking, I prefer Rouge Shine lipstick packaging.

Is there a brand and color that would work for any eye and cheek look that you could share that doesn’t have a scent? The lipsticks I do have are dark in color. Thank you Lexi!! I love the Hermes lip balms too. I would put the matte lip balms as my second favorite, after the Violette. The satin balm they released last year is one I use all the time and it would probably be in third place for the satin balm category. I think second place would be the givenchy rose perfectos. I hope they come out with more shades in the Hermes.

I just ordered a Jimmy Choo gloss from your page. I’m looking for a long lasting gloss. It was hard to pick a color though. So, I went with Orange Kiss. I used to have a shimmering lipstick from Pat McGrath called Electra, long discontinued. It was a HG different color for me. I would have bought 5 if I knew it would be discontinued. Could not find anything like that color, maybe this is close enough. But, they all look great.

Hi Lexi! Great video as usual. I really appreciate the time you spend in showing and describing the swatches. I have recently realized that peach looks nice on me. I recently wore a peach look on my eyes from the new Byredo mineralscapes, peach blush from Dior Mitzah palette (with peach CT highlighter) and a peach balm from Allie Glines. I’m looking for a good peach lipstick with a fresh summer vibe to compliment the look or just to brighten up a no makeup look this summer. I have fair to light skin with neutral undertones. Do you have any suggestions? I ordered the ABH satin lipstick in peach bud but it hasn’t come yet. Thanks again for your informative and interesting videos! Susan

For a softer look, maybe Dior Nude Look and they have it in several finished but I think the Addict finish might be a good choice. I think the Sisley crayon in 8 Candy is a nice soft coral that you might like and the Sisley phyto-rouge shine in 32 Sheer Ginger is a great peachy nude of a medium depth. 30 Sheer Coral is another option if you want it slightly cooler with shimmer. It's a bit more sheer too.

So many wonderful choices Lexi - I would love to try one of the JC glosses! I remember you talking about them a while ago so that went on my radar. You reminded me I have the Sisley Phyto Twist in no. 19 Ballet which isn't my favourite as it leans quite browny peach on my pale olive/sallow skin tone but it comes in handy when mixed with other lipsticks and even as a blush sometimes. The formula is however very comfortable on the lips so I'd be interested in getting another shade. I wold definitely be interested in seeing some more brighter offerings for summertime - your poor lips having to take the strain to show us all the different possibilities is, for sure, suffering for your art, however much appreciated!
