As a Chef specialising in BIR Indian cuisine, I signed up for and ordered an ASDA delivery just to try out the featured product after viewing the vid and reading the comments. Although the offering is not what you'd expect from your typical Indian restaurant, I was delighted to find that the Beef Madras is every bit as good as described - very fresh and vibrant, great flavour and with a generous amount of lean beef. The rice is also very good, so definitely the best shop bought curry I've ever tasted by a distance (even better with a couple of green chillies and a cold lager!). And just a note on the portion size - it says 'Serves 2' but its really a generous single portion! Big thanks to the Bald Foodie Guy for posting this👍😀

What those figures are saying is that 98% of the 22% is British Beef Brisket. So that means 98% of 88grms of the meal in meat. Basically you get 86gms of meat out of 400gms of food.

Microwave cooking doesn't materially degrade nutrients, probably it is less damaging to these than oven cooking. This is because the microwaves merely cause the water molecules to vibrate and thus heat up. Also the heating time is so much shorter and so degrade the nutrients less than longer cooking times would do.

My favourite Bom Bahia (so far) is the Chicken Biryani - it’s very, very good. Previous favourite was Waitrose’s Hot Chicken Tikka Masala which was unmatched among supermarket curries - creamy rich and spicy with a HUGE flavour. Unfortunately (like M&S) Waitrose curries shrunk by a third while rising in price in 2023. Worst of all, the recipe has changed into something thin and bland with tough chicken pieces. Unrecognisable. Thank goodness for this Asda range!

Madras is my favourite curry and its not often you can get one form a supermarket that comes close to one form an Indian restaurant but I'll be sure to check this one out

It sounds delicious! it does look small for 2 people, would be great with all the extras though. I definitely want to try it one day x

Good one Gaz. I live in the South East and all mains are a minimum of 10 quid in Indian take aways near me. I will pick some of this range up today as the curry you recommended from M&S was awesome.
