In USA this stage makes 350whp. But we have 2.5L engines.

Hey Igor - the 2L makes pretty the same power as the 2.5L engine when it has the same modifications. The main difference is the 2L engine revs out to 7500rpm+, so it has a wider powerband with a stock-sized turbo. We get both the 2L JDM vehicles and the 2.5L versions in New Zealand, so we're pretty lucky. The dyno power figures between Australia/New Zealand and the USA are well known to vary, with the dynos we commonly use here reading 10-15% lower, which accounts for the difference between you you'd normally see, and what we made on this vehicle.

@@michaeldaly7688 the 2L STI engines are known to be a little more reliable over the long term, though they do also share many of the same weaknesses. In stock, or lightly modified form, the 2L would definitely be the pick, but when you're building engines and doing big mods, it's not so clear cut.

Awesome, Im a kiwi living in London and imported a JDM STI hatch over here from Japan recently (I must be the only Subaru hatch owner in my area). I have an INVIDIA R400 catback exhaust, aftermarket panel filter, aftermarket fuel pump, HKS BOV and a tune. Making 328HP on Dyno. Would the downpipe make much more of a difference? Is there anything else I can do to make it a bit more fun? eg. different turbo?

A downpipe would definitely make a significant difference - the small diameter and the restrictive cat choke exhaust flow, power and response. We typically do the downpipe as one of the first mods on any Subaru. A cold air intake will net a few HP, but to go to the next level you'll need to look at a turbo, fuel pump, injectors, and re-tune. Take a look at our stage 7 videos - which will give you an idea of what's involved. ​@@livelifeoutdoors182 we generally have a few in stock, however, with local and international supply chain issues, we never know what will happen. We should have them, but if you want to guarantee one, and at the current prices, I recommend ordering one in advance.
