@@trigun989 25K canadian is a fair price- 30k is overpriced, keep in mind it is still a 2009 Subaru STI(old car) at the end of the day, you can buy a newer model modified WRX with lower miles for much cheaper. Alot of people who modify their cars think they are getting 100% of their money back from putting aftermarket parts on a car & that is never the case, cars still stay at their KBB suggested used retail price, it does not matter if it has 100K worth of aftermarket parts!

Ive never really been into Subaru’s but ive always liked this generation because of the hatch being so different to the usual Impreza saloons. Also that noise! Wow it sounds so good on boost

Power steering leak from the box. If you disconnect the U joint and pull up the boot, you'll see it weeping out of the shaft. Classic.

And that was video 27 viewed from start to end... I believe that concludes me liking this series, and I also made a playlist of them all. I like that not every build on youtube has to be over 1000hp, and that some people actually understand what's more righteous for each individual car as well as owner. Horsepower is fun, but power is nothing without control. Build for purpose...

I have a 2011 WRX same color and I’m doing the same style build except with the 2.5l Same color and interior so this was a great series to see! I am in Montana and it will be just for summers. Thanks for the great tips on what to look for and address!

Just need a super trapp muffler on the ewg to fix that issue. $50. That is what i did with the wrx i used to have. Great car guys and nice video as always!

Might be super late on this. But you mentioned the clutch sucking. Which I noticed in my hatch too. There’s a rivet kit for the firewall that can fix that issue but I’m sure someone had mentioned it to you

Can say that the g30-660 on a 2.5 is pretty sweet. And no it’s not that big. It’s basically a ball bearing td06-20g size wheels but the shape allows for way more efficiency and flow

There's so much room in the engine bay and underneath! Made me curious how you guys would handle an N54 e92 build. Tons of power headroom on unopened block, a few different ways to make it. Should also give you the expected amount of 'broken BMW' content. I'd love to see some content on that platform.

lol @14:58. I literally scared the crap out of a bunch of birds once in a car with a screamer pipe on it. I floored it going under an expressway sign and next thing I knew the windshield and roof got absolutely pelted with bird poo. I didn't see them, but there had to have been at least a dozen birds perched on top of the sign.

I put up a very very mint 13 STI hatch, and even though it shows on the inexpensive end in Autotrader, I have had little interest. I keep hearing of these things demanding top dollar, but so far I’m not seeing that. Maybe cause I’m in Winnipeg. GLWS!

I'd be weird... I'd swap out the turbo for a slightly smaller one for better spool. And then sort out the clutch and work on getting it to rotate.

I really like this Subaru, it sounds much better than any other one I’ve heard because of the equal length header. I wouldn’t go any more power than this level, to keep it reliable. I would have liked to see the pay off video against the Evo, did you ever do hot laps with it? I thought the motor was bigger than a 2.5L with the striker crank

I am kinda bummed you build these awesome cars but barely show them off. I've love to see more track days, engine sounds, road events with your finished projects. It seems like we watch the project till completion and then the cars disappear into the distance. I guess with Covid we just don't get to see all those great trackdays. Would have loved to see this thing rip on the track.

Go back and look at all the views the driving vids get. it’s abysmal compared to the builds. Its alot of effort to shoot a track or driving video and if the views arent there then we wont shoot them

I’m curious since you had the frs in the background at the end. You said you didn’t like the clutch feel of the sti, and I don’t like the clutch feel of my BRZ. I haven’t driven a STI but I’m told that the clutch action is very similar between the two. Any truth to this? Great deal on a great car!
