You were spot-on with this review. I bought the Bertucci Titanium A-2T with the 200 meter water resistance 10 to 12-year lithium battery and sapphire crystal on your recommendation and other than maybe three days in the past month I haven't taken it off my wrist. The thing is solid man. Weighs nothing but almost seems indestructible with the titanium and Sapphire. It has not gained or lost even one second... It's almost like an analog G-Shock... It's growing on me. It may be a field watch but you can wear it almost anywhere with a nice Horween leather strap. I also picked up the A-11 T Americana with the sub dial and the USA ameriquartz movement, 42 mm titanium Sapphire totally usa-made and assembled. May have the 10yr lithium battery too, not 100% sure though..on a gorgeous horween leather strap. Recently, I came across what maybe my next the Bertucci A-4T Super Yankee illuminated.. It's basically what we've just discussed above but with a little bit more of a World War 2 dial style and of course, the best part are the T25 tritium tubes... it has all the features the other two have and a Swiss Movement. Yep you won't be able to take your eyes away at night. Much like the renowned tritium in a Luminox, but it may even be a touch brighter. The A2t and now the A-11T Americana Edition honestly may just be the best watches you can buy for 185-245 bucks respectively...

Really appreciate your thoughtful comments! I had heard a little about this brand over the years but never had the chance to own one until recently. Suffice it to say I was blown away by the quality and thoughtful construction. Just the design of the lugs is impressive. You’ll break your arm before you lose this watch off of it.

I bought the A2T last month ( August ) for my bitthday. I like it, its solid, keeps good time and i just dont have to stress on bumps, knocks and pampering it. For a field type watch, the 200m water resistiance, intigrated lugs and screw down crown along with the screw down case back are excelent features. An interesting watch, nice to wear.

Agree with your assessment. It’s a great tool watch at a great price.

I have tons of watches and was researching getting a Bertucci. I saw this watch but it was sold out at the Bertucci website. I found it was in stock with an online vendor and purchased it. I have seen your videos 3 or 4 times and the watch looks great on your wrist. I got the watch just now and man everything you mention about this watch is spot on. Just like you, I am psyched and its on my wrist now.

Really appreciate the kind words! As you can see from my channel I have a LOT of watches at all different prices but this one just blew me away. This brand deserves more recognition because they make an honest watch at a great price.

Quick question - does the watch have some uneven finish on the case between the lugs where the case curves? I have some uneven metal finishing at both the top and bottom lugs. Looks like the case is not smoothed out and has a crumpled look.
@soundsoserious2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it looks like some manufacturing marks. Looks like the case is cut out of a single chunk of titanium (which is much more difficult to work with than steel) and that curve is an awkward spot in the process. It would bother me on a $1000+ watch but hard for me to get worked up at this price point.

@@soundsoserious Thank you. I totally agree. I also used to have major OCD with quartz watches not hitting the minute marks correctly, but as I am getting older, like other things in life, I am not letting this bother me. BTW, this watch hits the minute marks perfectly. Yahooooooo
@soundsoserious2 жыл бұрын
Mine is close to hitting the markers but not right on. That’s a really tough thing and even great brands like Grand Seiko can’t figure out. Best I’ve had is the Omega Quartz AT movement and of course Casio MR-G; but that’s the final level when it comes to high end Quartz.

I have the polycarbonate version of this watch on my wrist right now, the A-3P. It has 100m of water resistance, which is an outlier from most poly models. I absolutely love this thing. Great strap, solid build, light as a feather and it keeps good time. Oh and 85 bucks! I and am considering buying the titanium version too. This watch was sort of a test case (pardon the pun), for the titanium. Thanks for the review.

Very cool! I need to research the a-3p, haven’t heard of it.

This was good for me because you demonstrated how the A-2 case wears on a NATO with a keeper segment.

it is cool, when you compare it with e.g. luminox or traser, but for this type of money I can get legit solar powered diver from citizen.

I love my A1s, but I also switched to a classic nato strap. The stock straps are just to thick and uncomfortable, they really should switch the straps
@soundsoserious2 жыл бұрын
I agree, the stock strap is very well made but very thick and doesn’t bend well.

I recently purchased an a 2t vintage from Amazon and am very disappointed with it. Right out the box, the second hand does not hit the index marks. Then I checked the accuracy of the time: the first two days it seemed to be perfect; then on the third day it seemed to lose two whole seconds, this was right after I had ridden my bicycle with it on a bumpy road. I tapped hard with my finger on the side of the case and the second hand seemed to stand still for a split second. I tapped repeatedly and it lost over 15 seconds immediately. Everything else on the watch is great, but it cannot be trusted to keep time if it gets bumped. I am not going to spend another penny on it by returning it and will use it, knowing that I will have to monitor it for this problem.
@soundsoserious2 жыл бұрын
Ouch! Yeah that’s tough and i totally agree you need to return it. That hasn’t been my experience but you clearly got a lemon. They advertise this as a hard wearing “field watch” so you should be able to put it through a LOT more than that. Disappointing to say the least! It’s really hard to beat a good old fashioned G-Shock….alternatively check out my review of the Seiko Solar Tuna, very good tool watch.

For me this watch is what you put on when you’re working outside etc. strap it on and it’s super secure.
