Best way to find resonances on Rap Vocals, Fix it in the Mix!

hands down the best resource I've found on rap vocals regarding cheap, or overly-bright vocals. I have this same issue with my at2035 in my untreated room. I knew exactly what you meant when you said the vocals were "annoying."

David, i cant lie.. If a person knows HOW to watch this video, then this is absolutely GOLD! This video shows how to break down the elements of the vocal into the different components of the studio monitor. At first, the vocal was coming out of all of my speakers (sub, mids, tweeter), and by the end, the vocals only were coming out of my mid drivers and tweeter ( like its supposed to of course). So basically, this video showed me HOW to hear a vocal in my studio and understand the functions of a studio monitor at the same time... Just wanted to let you know that, and all your videos do this same thing for me.... So...Thanks!

In pro tools , how do you pick up where u left off on the same track? In sonar it's simple, but pro tools only plays the track on top

Why on earth would you pan your lead vocal to the sides? KICK SNARE VOCAL up the center always. Never have I ever heard lead vocals panned to the sides. Sounds strange. Wouldn’t a stereo spreader be more controlled if your looking for width, don’t know why you’d want it on your lead though.

MixbusTV I’m actually a 15 year professional that’s mixed grammy nominated rappers. And while i’m aware of stereo vocals, I send my mone vocals to a stereo bus, just don’t get the logic to panning your oeads 50% when your sendingrg them to a stereo buss
