Best Way To Trim Plywood Edge Banding

Don't waste your time with edge trimmers! Use your router table for perfect results.
In this video I go through the steps to build a router table fence to quickly trim plywood edge banding. This is the easiest way I have found to trim edge banding. The handheld trimmers are complete junk and never give you clean edge. Also, the plywood edges are too narrow to support a handheld router so I built a new fence specifically for trimming edge banding. This fence prevents you from cutting into the veneer with support for any size panel. If your planning to do any edge banding projects with multiple pieces this fence is a must have for your router table.

I had this idea while trimming a thin piece of birch for the top of a bed post "wait why can't I do this with the iron on edge banding!" glad you showed it's not as simple as chuck on a bit and get to routing

What's your thoughts on a 2nd fence opposing , so you have less chance of your material tilting/ I'm trying to picture how I'd put a 24 x 92-1/2" panel through that and get a quality result! It's great for small parts, but large cabinet parts, I don't see it... Thanks.

I have put some massive panels through it for furniture projects with no issue. Also, I still use a bit with a bearing on top as an additional precaution. Also, you would need to really be tilting the panel for it to get into the veneer.
