as a muslim i'm surprised that you knew the shower thing in Islam :D , but it doesn't wash away your sins. but it is more in the lines of a new beginning and you can't pray if you didn't take that shower. but regardless a shower does help, I sometimes do it when I feel like I want to fap, cuz after it I don't feel the need to fap at all, but for me it's a hot shower, it's kinda like a warm hug, which is what most people need, I mean a lot of people do it because they are lonely, so a hot shower sometimes help even prevent it not just recover from it.

Acctually, in Islam the concept of washing our sins is narrated in "Wodo" (the washing before prayer). But as far as I know not when showering.

Am muslin and after a relapse i have to take a shower and if i dont take one then i wont be able to pray because am full of sins but i can take it at any time

4:03 Yes, this is definitely the move for me as a Muslim. We perform a ritual bath known as ghusul when we release semen. I feel like I am physically washing the relapse off of me and it allows me to reorient myself towards my path. I notice that when I don’t do it, I make things worse and I be up binging.
