I'd really recommend replacing the crescent wrench with a Knipex pliers-wrench. Not only will it likely hold nuts better in most situations you can use them for a lot of things that a regular crescent can't.

@@SergioMartinez-xv9tt Surprisingly a lot. It can straighten small bends in metal. Hold stuff when grinding, push stuff together like a mini press, also less likely to round the nut in my experience. It's also just faster in general. The list of different uses go on but I think I've made my point.

I would recommend adding some bailing wire and JB Weld and replacing the plastic zip ties, with Stainless Steel zip ties. Another really nice thing to have, is self fusing Silicone tape; its very handy for sealing hoses or as a replacement for electrical tape and duct tape. They also make WD-40 in very small cans now days and its very handy to have when you need it. For other stuff that I would permanently keeping in a truck, that's supposed to be taken on road trips and off road, is at least a gallon of water(if not more) and make sure its safe to drink. You will never know if you will be using that water to top off your radiator or drinking it yourself, if you get stranded somewhere while traveling or stuck off-road. Speaking of being stranded somewhere... Pack a Dopp kit and add some TP; if you are lucky, you will never need it but if you do, its worth its weight in gold. A small, fordable shovel is also nice to have, along with cordage and off-road recovery gear(which is an entire list in and of itself).

Needle nose vise grip came in handy, when my buddy’s truck lost a brake caliper came off when we were coming down a mountain. We had to remove the hanging caliper and pinched the brake hose with the vise grip and tape it out of the way. Got home safely. Fortunately he did not loose too much brake fluid. Tools are a must have. Nice compact tool kit.

Grappling hook is a fine idea. Keys fall in cracks... I would add a strong magnet. I like the Paracord, may swap out for Titan cord because of its multiple applications and love the zip ties but would remove one bundle in place of some bank line. I always use my magnetic tail lights for the car in case I don't have a hat and Bic lighters are super reliable. Great kit, thanks.

I have a F150 with the 5.4l. They have amongst other issues a problem with coils so I have a spare coil plus the ratchet, socket, and extension required if one goes out. What I would say is I’d get rid of the crescent. Sure it has a wider range of sizes in one tool, but it also requires the most room to operate. If you had a 1/4” drive set of sockets and a 1/4” Allen key you could essentially have a socket set without the ratchet.

I change the Signal for a Surge or Gerber Center Drive. Add duct tape in a couple of colors. I usually wrap it around a preloaded cash card. Also, agree with changing one of pliers to Knipex pliers. Make sure you put a charging cable in for the headlamp. A small Wiha Screwdriver set has saved my butt many times. One other item I’d add is a plug-in diagnostic tool. It can really narrow down a problem especially with a smartphone app.

Solid kit. Obviously with the new truck, you're not carrying major tools to repair the truck... just for a minor adjustment. The kit is more for just Macgyver on the fly issues. A couple things I have in mine that I would throw out there, some of which others have already tossed out there, that won't eat much room in the already full bag. Extendable magnet, couple shackles or quick links, compression strap, and I always find a way to stow a small roll-up of toilet paper in any bag I make. It is stupid, but beats sacrificing the sock... and makes great instant tender that will catch a spark.

I really hate that people dump on the Leatherman Signal just because of a few situational tools. Tell me you wouldn’t use that ferro rod if you absolutely had nothing else to do the job? Or the sharpener, or the whistle, or even the pommel. You may never need them, but that is 4 things the Wave, or any almost any other multi tool can’t do if you needed them to. I’ll get off my soapbox now and also say that I like everything you’ve got in this kit! Makes me want to get a bigger tool kit.

That's a 4sevens patch, not Prometheus. I know Prometheus bought 4sevens... which is weird because I always thought 4sevens and Olight were the same.

Cool kit. Anyone who is critical should build their own kit and put it out there for others to criticize and see how they like it.

Rookie Question: if you leave this kit in your vehicle all the time, do you have to worry about that butane lighter catching fire? Solid video my friend. I need to update my trunk kit.

Great layout and assortment. I'm new to the channel and really enjoying what you are putting out. I saw in some other comments that you have later plans for a tool bag of some sort. Years ago I got my dad an Atlas46 tool roll and he has found great use of it. I don't know if you have ever looked at their stuff, but I thought I would point you there way if you have not. Keep up the great content.

Bro, the grappling hook is my favorite part. I actually thought of carrying one in the past, I had a friend who machined himself one, which was sketchy now that i think about it( he entirely wanted to scale walls with it like an idiot), which I think a forged one might be better suited for. I could not come up with a reason for it back then, but i mean, you could totally do water retrieval on things that have gone into the water but floats( live in hawaii).. it's a grappling hook! That's so bloody awesome. It's genius actually, fck gimmicky
