Odessa was a very Russian city but the Ukraine mobs moved in but other it was one of the longest holdouts where the signed even on government building remained in Russian. By this time next year it will return to its Russian roots, the city that Catherine the Great built. So it will be nice to be able to return for visits without Nazi gangs terrorizing the residents and visitors. I used to go there at least once a year and stay 1-2 months renting house from the same owner for about 10 years in row. The Nazis destroyed many of the historic monument and art. The city will be restored to its past glory and the monuments to German fascist will be removed that were installed by the US funded coup regime. The entire Black Sea coast and all the Russian cities will be restored and many original Russian resident will get their homes back

That would be rather difficult to do today since a large portion of Donbass is current under Russia control, and they do not allow any media to do documentaries or any other filming unless they are Russian media propaganda. Besides this mentions 2 years after the war, and the beauty contest winner was the winner of 2015. So this means this documentary was apparently first aired 2 years after the 2014 war. So it is representing what life was like in Ukraine 2 years after the 2014 war. It would be kind of hard to go back in time and do the same what was life like in Donbass part of Ukraine 2 years after 2014.

This is bs. The Frontline is in the east and south where Russians are advancing. They can't seize towns so they destroy them completely to the point when there's nowhere to drive defensively for Ukrainian forces. Additionally, Russia bombs other parts of Ukraine with long range missiles. They aim critical civil infrastructure like energy plants, supposedly military productions, warehouses, and seemingly just random civil objects indiscriminately. Mostly in eastern russian speaking part, hence russian speakers now hate rissia the most and transition to speaking Ukrainian. In 2014 russian forces occupied part of Donbas under false flag, killed, jailed, or departed any opposition and aimed to advance westwards to seize Kyiv. I myself had to flee from Donbas. The people in Panama City, Florida, the ones that are partying in the clubs, are not dancing and partying in hopes that someone with a lot of money will come and take them away to their foreign country. To come to Panama City, Florida and see anything even resembling Odessa you would have to come during "Spring Break" and even then you would be seeing young adults mostly about 23yrs old and younger. In Odessa the difference is huge. In Odessa you would find women about 25yrs old and up actually being encouraged by their families to "dance(?)" onstage and hopefully have a foreign man ask them to come home with them to his country to live "comfortable" life.

Having done a check on the internet it turns out that Mark Gordienko is not at all a Ukrainian nationalist leader in Odesa. He was a member of a biker gang that appeared out of the blue (as the local media put it) when the events of May 2, 2014 transpired. He is connected with the notorious Odesa underworld that is so hard to get rid of since it's been around for so long and has international connections - Israel, Russia, the US. Now it's convenient for him to feign being a Ukrainian patriot but he came from Russia where at the end he was detained for "pederasty." He's considered to be a very unsavory character by everyone, and Ukrainian nationalists have nothing to do with him. This all can be gleaned by reading a few articles about him posted on the internet. This video smells very much like a production of Russian misinformation.

During the Maidan protests, the titushky were allowed through police lines, allowed to attack Ukrainian protesters, then allowed to retreat behind police lines again and again!--In Odesa, the incident shown, the locals put an end to the "separatist" movement there.

I went to. Odessa many times starting in 1999. It was totally economically depressed but overall safe. Before 2014 it was clearly improving with so much development and at peace. Visited last time in 2017, Economy was bad, even the best hotels were cheap with few visitors coming, and our friends who lived there said be careful at night because much of the city is dangerous. This beautiful city Odessa is clearly been a victim of Western policy.
