Junk food should be renamed non-food, wrong-food, or chemical food, what ever signals this is not what human body can thrive on
@aboutthat77
@aboutthat77 3 жыл бұрын
On the front that sounds like the right solution but, sadly the reality if that change was made would be minimal. For example we know for fact that smoking is bad, alcohol is a poison and we knowingly still consume it. It is a very tough challenge to come up with a broad solution approach. It seems the main approach is to customise the approach for the individual where it would appeal or properly incentivise a person to make those changes to their nutrition.

Yes, and tv and movies cause us to copy what we see... We're a copy cat species. That's how trends get started. Marketers know these secrets... Subliminal messages, the use of certain colors, catchy slogans and musical beats or pieces of music to go along with the slogan. We're brainwashed. Under a spell, if you will. We're sheep... @@destineyrodgers1733OP sounds a little self satisfied, but I’m not sure why you don’t believe her. Playing outside and reading library books are cost effective entertainments. On top of that, cooking real food and not buying chips, cookies, and snack foods is also budget friendly. I know no one in America wants to believe that home cooking is cheaper than eating out, but it’s true. A party bag of Doritos is more expensive than a pound of lean chicken breast. The chicken can be used to make a full meal for four people that is nourishing in filling; whereas, the bag of Doritos isn’t going to satisfy hunger and will just make you fat.

I lost 40 lbs. in 6 weeks with a VERY strict diet and ZERO EXERCISE. This kid’s having stomach surgery?!! He could lose that weight in 4-5 months. Yes, it would be a sacrifice. Yes, it would be difficult. He would need surgery for loose skin when he’s done, but to cut someone open and start modifying their body simply cause they have no self control or simply aren’t even willing to try (“I’ll stop after the surgery”) is absurd and an abuse of your medical license. I know how they are not doing it: Forcing Indians to eat at McDonald's. There are many options, as you pointed out, and cheaper ones, so I guess those who choose to eat McDonald's do so because they want, maybe. Anyway, why should someone from another country, like myself, tell all Indians what they should or shouldn't eat? I find it quite condescending.

It's incredibly disheartening to see people in developing countries falling into the same traps that have utterly ruined the health of people in more developed countries. Industrial food may very well be cleaner than the food that's otherwise available for those people, making it less likely that they will get sick from it in the short term. However, the long-term effects of industrial food on an individual's well-being, and by extension (with enough time) a country's well-being, are undeniably disastrous.

Who wants to set meals times for 3 meals per day then get everyone seated and then to clean up when you can just hit up the drive through and be done with the entire feeding process in under 5 min. Zero clean up, just trash your baggies. Forget formula for a baby, that takes time and planning. just pump in some cola into the bottle and kids are as happy and "peppy: as they can be. It's pure joy to see their eyes roll back in their head as the rush of the taste sensation hits the receptors. Pure pleasure. Forget the natural cooking. Bland. Corp food is where the fireworks blast flavors and experiences with each bite.

You know watching this was tragic and so sad. This is just like what the tobacco companies did for decades to the world. All this BS in the US we read and watch from the food executives that claim how they want us to be healthier. How they are working to limit sugar in their foods etc... yada yada yada. What a load of crap. They take advantage and prey on millions and millions of kids and adults who are unaware of how bad these food and drinks are. India prime example. If these companies really cared they wouldn't have food in these countries that have much worse fat and salt and sugar content than in the US and France for example. Like that disgusting fake cheese pizza from Dominoes that they sell in India. I swear I am 44 years old and all I can do is pray that the whole world gets wise to the subliminal advertising and predatory nature of the food industry before it's too late. Sadly I don't think that will happen. Shame on you McDonalds, KFC, Dominoes, Coke and many others. Absolutely disgraceful.

In a lab, using mice, or rats, in a series of experiments and tests, they wanted to see what substance was more addictive to the mice. They used heroin, sugar, and maybe a third substance, I can't remember. Time after Time those mice, chose the sugar. Showing sugar to be one of the most addictive substances available, that we consume. More addictive than heroin. ( And even you know, "cocaine is a hell of a drug" and so is heroin. Lol) It's disturbing to read the ingredients on things and see sugar in everything even a can of kidney beans. It's used as a preservative, but very addictive and DAMN NEAR impossible to avoid.

I like that this documentary focuses on placing the blame on big corporations, I've seen so many attempt to place the blame on consumers for being unhealthy, when usually they are chemically hooked on these products, and probably haven't been educated and.. its really not their fault usually? corporations are so shady in playing stupid like they've never heard of someone under the age of 12 touching their products even when directly asked. They should be held completely responsible for shoving their brands down everyone's throats and expecting people to simultaneously magically be healthy. These brands know fully well how bad their products are for you but never want to back down or change the way they are because they're lining their fat pockets and riding their yacht, and just want to shoo any criticism down the drain.

There are 4 steps in marketing which we call AIDA. Awareness - People knowing the brand Interest - People being responsive towards the brand or having a thought about the brand Desire - to buy the product Action - buying the product. Being aware is only the first step, people need more information to buy a product which the marketing teams provide to increase the engagement between the product and the users. So, people need to be more cautious when dealing with brands and products they buy People usually think that color is inconsequential, however, color and shapes are commonly associated with brands and they are easy to remember. By reinforcing colour through apps, the company is engaging with the customers on a level which the customer doesn't understand.

I don't want to start an argument with you, but the vitamin c content in the fruit doesn't make up for the all of the fructose/sugar.

@Pigs on a plate Fruit is supposed to be seasonal. It is fine in small amounts, but not supposed to be freely available.

Reggaeton started in Puerto Rico, not in Mexico, so... why they think wearing traditional "sombreros " from MEXICO!!!!, is the thing they should wear with that music? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I laughed so much!!!! LOL

My teacher in elementary school (1980s America) taught us proper nutrition. She told us what was good to eat and what not to eat. How did she communicate it to us 3rd graders? “Look at me! I’m 40, fat as an elephant, and divorced. I eat the worst stuff and that’s why my husband left me. Boys, do you want to end up with someone like me? Girls, do you want to end up Like me? You all better eat well and take care of yourselves no matter what.” That sticks in our head to this very day.

A rare treat when I was an adolescent was having thirty five cents for a hamburger from Jack In The Box. McDonalds was far away downtown. Extra packs of ketchup seemed to make it more substantial. French fries were rare for me. I was extremely skinny and had very low energy. I grew up on baloney sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, potato chips, hot dogs and soda. The well our city water came from is now a superfund toxic waste clean up site from Motorola corporation illegal chemical disposal. I have had over fifty immunization injections. I’ve been sick for sixty years. My spleen has ruptured twice and the blood transfusions I received were tainted with hepatitis. Now my liver is on the way out. They took away my pain medication, I’m miserable and I think they just want me to die and get it over with. Frankly, I’m looking forward to that. Now I eat only homemade food (with assistance) as organic as possible, drink and cook with only spring water, but it’s too late for me. I’ve given up on getting well. Once your sick, you just get more sick. I have new symptoms every year and that’s no way to live. Whenever a doctor prescribes me a medication, I just get sick in a different way. I no longer take any medications, for years now. Going through chemotherapy for eleven months was probably the worst thing I have ever done. Please don’t eat that crap that passes as food legally, research what’s in your water, be wary of immunizations and stay active. I wish you good health, love, happiness and prosperity. You matter.
