I honestly think, with no exaggeration or hyperbole, that Martin Short might be the greatest and funniest improviser of all time. Watch any of his interviews and his comedic timing is just natural talent that can’t be taught. And Jiminy Glick is his greatest achievement.

One of my favorite lines of his is from an SNL intro where he’s singing a song, and he gets up on a piano, struggles, and says “How does a man sit on a piano? Clearly I don’t know!”

I just can't get over how fast Short is on the draw with these quips and comebacks. He's got veteran comedians tossing jokes his way, and he just swats 'em out of the park every time. If you get Mel Brooks laughing so hard that he asks you to give him time to catch his wind, man, you got jokes.

It's interesting how people's perceptions change as they grow and learn and gain new experiences. I remember when I was younger, I was very rigid and didn't like strange, out of the ordinary things. And I couldn't STAND Jiminy Glick. I thought it was the stupidest, unfunniest, most idiotic thing ever. I just now watched this clip and was crying from laughing so hard. This character is pure comic genius. Times sure do change and I'm glad I did too.

@@bratislavdragic3059 How does my comment warrant a smart-ass reply like yours? Having a crush on someone doesn't always mean you are dying to be with them or would love having them in your life. @@bratislavdragic3059 No one should insult or be a smart-ass to complete strangers, especially during these difficult times with ongoing problems to simply stay alive. My question/response to your comment might have been aggressive and that is probably why you didn't answer it but went into a different direction trying to explain your intent. I live to joke and love being the butt of others jokes when I can feel their energy, but your joke, or intention to joke around with your initial comment made absolutely no sense and was insulting for no reason. It would have been insulting had you said it to someone else. So, I'm going to ask again, but in a polite way. If you choose to answer that's great, if you choose not to then it's no big deal and we'll move on. @Bratislav Dragic, What part of my comment about developing a crush on Jerry, based on his interaction with the opposite character, would make someone (yourself or someone else) feel compelled to be rude or insulting? I subscribe to joking with those close to me when they show emotions as it is a way to lighten things up when they are down or as a way to tease. My teenage son does it to me daily and I appreciate it cause it keeps me from taking life too seriously. I would like to understand the logic behind the rudeness cause otherwise it appears like you were trolling and being a dick towards someone you probably find unattractive or I remind you of someone you strongly dislike.
