I am wanting another Crossfire receiver but the 915mhz module and a receiver is $56.98. A Crossfire receiver is about $40 when I can find them. I may just have to switch everything over to ELRS since I can get 2 ELRS receivers for the price of 1 Crossfire receiver. The only complaint I've had about Crossfire is the price. TBS completely cured the failsafe problem I was having with my Frsky radio and receivers. Thanks for the links.

For my next build, I'm really unsure if I should get the new TBS Sixty9 Crossfire/VTX combination board, or go for ELRS. I'm using the TBS Tango 2, and I don't have the module bay. The next build will be a 5 inch too, so weight is not an issue. I have a 2.5 inch laying around too, which is currently missing a receiver - perhaps I'll go for ELRS with that one instead.

Apart from all the launch bugs I was impressed by the Sixty9, but mine has fried itself without warning after three weeks of use. Unsure what caused the short, bit it took my FC's 5V supply with it. Possibly the u.fl pigtail touching a board component? Having two u.fl pigtails sticking out either side of the stack is the biggest weakness of the sixty9 design IMO. Anyway, I've just ordered 2.4 ELRS and seperate VTX. Crossfire only has decent range at 50Hz, and that is slow. I'd get this module and the Tango module bay adapter if I were you.
@ojkolsrud13 жыл бұрын
@@babc142 I actually got the Sixty9. What I did, was to opt out of using the shield and 30x30 mount. Instead, I routed the uFl pigtails inwards, and I have the coax cables running out the back through the large opening opposite the main connector. By doing that, it's super compact.
@babc1423 жыл бұрын
@@ojkolsrud1 I did exactly the same to achieve a really neat setup, and now I'm wondering if this is how the short happened. Could the u.fl pigtail with an inward path have shorted a board component? I hadn't been near a soldering iron for weeks with that setup yet it shorted on battery connection. Anyway, I've taken the opportunity to go ELRS + Unify Pro V3.
