Brilliant album - what an amazing artist Beth Gibbons is. Skimming through it for the first time today - I get paganistic Wicker Man vibes. Some backing vocals are reminiscent of Bowie’s Blackstar.

I appreciate your videos and taking the time to honor this artist and her current work. This album's room tone and subtle sounds haunt me, along with the aging artist's perspective. I wonder if the modern music listener is patient or mature enough to sit with the entire album, although if you have lived and felt loss, this album really resonates.

Beth Gibbons new album I haven’t got on order yet! But I will. I wish Portishead would get back together again as well! As a fan of John Barry's music Portishead blew me away at the time! Good one!

Thanks for the heads up about this, OC. I had no idea Beth had released a solo. Reaching Out makes the hairs on my arm stand up.
