That’s because you cannot keep them in the same tank for any purpose other than breeding, then separating again after.

Actually you can keep them in one tank but tank need to be a little bigger size. You should have more than one famale. 3-4 it's nice And a lot of plants, hiding spots ect.

Wait a few days..He will make bubble nest.After making bubble nest, release the female..👍 if he doesn't made bubble nest after 2 days, then change the male Betta from breeding and condition him well☺️👍

First, properly identify the male and female fishes. Then condition them.. Feed live foods also. Check whether the male betta making bubble nest and check the female bettas belly, whether it pocess eggs or not. If the female fish’s belly is very thin, then condition her with more foods 🥰👍.. Then add almond leaves 🍂 in breeding water. Perfect 👍

I tried breeding bettas for a while. Never worked out. I could get them to breed, lay eggs, and even got the eggs hatch. I could never keep the fry alive long. I think it was a food issue but I'm not sure. I gave up. I had this one female and she was really pretty, big too, her name was Gypsy. Gypsy was really mean towards other fish and she absolutely would not breed with any males that I bought. She was picky or stubborn as hell. I eventually had to get a new female so I bought a red female, I forget what I named her, but she bred with my one crown tailed betta I named Prince. They gave me a few breeds but none of their fry made it to adulthood. Maybe if I had the proper equipment and food I could've been successful but I'm not willing to try again. 😅

guys if you guys wanted to breed a betta fish (the male fish):make sure treat him well give him many food until he is full(he needed to be alone while feeding or they need to be healthy) (the female fish):treat her well too and when they’re breeding already you need to keep the male and remove the female this is how you breed a betta fish 1. treat them well but the male one need to eat many or he’ll eat his egg . 2.put the male first into any bucket\fish tank and let him explore the bucket or tank . 3.after one or two hours add the female then if the male is chasing the female it’s okay but if the male chasing the female for two days remove the female and add the female back in like one day. 4.when they’re done breeding remove the female or the male will chase her and attack her. 5.you don’t need to remove the male just keep the male until the baby hatch and knows how to swim. thanks for reading that’s all if you have questions about fish ask me in my video because I do q&a❤

1.Egg Will hatch after 24 hours.. 2.During that time(egg to fry)male fish never take any food.. because male fish will only concentrate on eggs and its protection..So before laying eggs , we can feed them (male & female) with Live Foods.. When fry become free swimming, then remove the male fish from the breeding tank and feed him everything☺️👍

@@aliumar9819 My reply may be a little late but I hope this answer will still be of help _ It lowers PH levels and releases Tannic Acid ( or tannins ) It has anti-fungus as well as anti-bacterial properties. They increase immunity, and growth, They also increases the lifespan of our pets. Tannins in the water can help to recreate a natural water source similar to their natural habitat. For example, tannins from Indian Almond Leaves have a beneficial effect on the Guppies’ reproduction. Tannins from the leaves: -shorten the gestation period, -double pregnancy rate, -increased the survival rate of the females after giving birth and the fry.

Some people will use a 10 gallon tank, with a piece of plexiglass as a divider. Once acquainted for a few weeks, take the plexiglass out, let them do their thing, and then replace the plexiglass (if you want them to stay together long term).

@@Hellotooniversity you can look at their anal fins too. Females have round edges from the start of the anal fins while males have box shape anal fins. Male betta body is straight sleek(?) too but females have protruding stomachs and a white spot on the end of their stomachs, just right before the anal fins

Physically differences like the female got shorter fins and thier white dot ovipositor under the belly is the great spot to tell that's female. When then female is ready or her egg is fully developed, the female belly will increasing size and sometime in darker fish will show the banded pattern at the side of the body to tell that she's ready to mate.

After 2 to 4 weeks..male betta fish need about two to 4 weeks, since building the bubble nest and caring for the fry is somewhat stressful. So Condition him properly and if he is healthy , no visible signs of injury you can breed him after 2 weeks ☺️👍
