Yeah, idk if they planned on putting their betta in that massive tank to begin with, but if they didn't and tik tok really made them feel bad and they realized their mistakes, then maybe it was more of a frustration at their self and not the audience nor the betta. I hope that makes sense lol

@@isarodriguez1104 agreed. I do think she is an experienced fish keeper judging from the fact she use zipper. She must be acclimating the Betta before puting it in the tank. If that isn't the case, she will dump the whole vase instead of using a zipper bag.

Once, I was at a petsmart with my mom, sister, neighbor, and I think my little brother. We were looking at the betta fish, but I also had to pick up some new water treatments (i.e. stress coat, quick start, etc) and this lady came up to me and said I looked like I knew a lot about fish and she was wanting to get one for her son, and wanted some advice since this was her first time handling fish, and no one in her house new anything about fish either. She had this teenie tiny one gallon “betta tank” (glorified teacup basically) that was lime green and came with a tacky plastic gridded divider in the middle so you could “have 2 bettas in one tank” and some colorful gravel and decorations. She also had a fish in her shopping basket. I told her: you can’t buy a fish the same day you get a tank, you have to cycle it, (i briefly explained the whole ass nitrogen cycle for her too) and that tank is wayyyyy too small for a betta, and if you want to speed up the nitrogen cycle you can get this stuff called quick start from API. She responded with “uh…ok, thanks” and then went to a different aisle. Later, I saw her checking out with the same exact stuff she had earlier, and TWO (really pretty) LONGFIN MALE BETTAS. She didn’t even buy water conditioner. She did buy food though, she got some GOLDFISH FLAKES (which bettas can’t really eat since their mouths aren’t built that way). I tried helping her, but her ignorance probably caused the death of those poor fish. 😢

Hey I just found your channel the other day, and you've really inspired me. You see, I have a betta named Makomo (named after one of Urokodaki's dead kids from Kimetsu no Yaiba). She's a runty, tiny little thing (so small she struggles with average betta pellets; I find small ones to fit her mouth) with vibrant blues, purples and reds, about a year old, but while I started out taking decent care of her (by a non-fish-initiated person's standards), I kind of ended up letting her care fall by the wayside. The humor and easy-goingness of your fish tank review series makes quality fish tanks/aquascaping feel like something attainable by the average person. I've redone Makomo's tank, better than before (by which I mean I'm experimenting with live plants for the first time as well as a few other landscaping details), and now I'm waiting for it to cycle for a few days before I add her back in. I hope you keep making these sorts of videos -- they've taught me a lot, and they're a lot of fun!

I gave my friend a 3.5 gallon tank for her bata fish. She used to have a fish bowel. Not the biggest but better then a fish bowl.

4:51 looks more like a 5-10 gallon to me, i have a 2.5 right next to me and it wouldn't make sense if it were that proportionally 8:54 also looks like a 10 gallon? obviously its easier to estimate when you have both a 2.5 and a 10 right next to you (neither for fish) and i think those just dont look much like 2.5's at all :)

I once saw someone who had a clown anemone fish in a freshwater aquarium because the owner thought it was a clown loach. 🤦♂️ I don’t know why I was surprised, he had mollies in a reef tank. Then I woke up from my nightmare.
