I love this recipe. My mother in law always made her meatloaf with onion , garlic, green bell peppers and tomatoes, I like meat dishes with lots of vegetables. I’m from Olsztyn , Poland , but moved to study in New York and now live in Florida, USA .

Believe me your mother in laws recipy was much healthier and tastier. White bread ( empty calories)and cheese in meatloaf are better replaced with vegetables.

Looks good. I also sometimes cook the meatloaf mostly done and take some rolled out bread dough and wrap the meatloaf and bake until the bread is golden brown. Frozen bread dough works good too - just thaw and roll out and wrap meat loaf. Looks really nice and when sliced each slice has a bread crust around it.

@@DaisyChain3339. You can give the inside of the dough a dusting with flour, and it will absorb any remaining fat from the meatloaf. I also brush the top of the bread after cooking with butter for a rich flavor. Enjoy!
