I love soup season! I made this and had to be extra and add some shredded chicken. Omg…it was perfect! I never would’ve thought to add nutmeg, and I usually do shredded veggies. But this…this was next level. I’ll be doing chunky from here on out!❤❤

Made a vegan version of this and it was bomb! Hummus instead of sour cream and coconut milk/cream for the heavy cream. Sooooo good!!! Used follow your heart cheddar cheese. That’s for the recipe!

I never comment on videos but today was a rough day for me. I opened KZbin to find a soup to cook. I have never made a soup before and I’ve been wanting to try it out for a while. My soup came out so DELICIOUS!! I didn’t have any half and half so I used heavy whipping cream 🤔 and I added bacon. Thanks for sharing! Being in the kitchen trying something new was very therapeutic!

Every recipe I've made from your videos have been yummy and loved by the hub and kiddos. If you have a butternut squash soup recipe, i would love to see your take on that soup. All soup is yummy to me. Pureed or chunky. depends on my mood and the season. Even in the summer, a nice brothy lime or lemon chicken soup. Omgosh, I just made this soup, and it is too good, Miss C! I think the potatoes soak up some of the flavor, so I did go back and add some veg bullion and paprika. Just like you suggested in the video. After tasting the finished product, i felt like the food critic at the end in Ratatouille . You know, when he tasted the ratatouille dish and it brought him back to his childhood. so your eyes pop out your head. Yes! So good. 😍

Nutmeg is key! When you use just a little bit of it, it just kind of keeps you guessing like what is that yummy goodness?! my friend used to add some into her broccoli quiche and I always was sitting there, wondering what it was cause I knew it wasn’t broccoli. I knew it wasn’t eggs and I knew it wasn’t milk and then when I found out I never looked back! I am making the soup right now, so thank you for sharing and I am using a red onion, so my soup might come out looking purple😂

Potato starch has a better flavor and reheats better with leftovers when using in a roux. I tried a bunch of stuff for a friend who’s also gluten free and was surprised how nice potato starch work.

Your recipe rocks. And you're right, it's WAY better than Panera's which, to me, tastes like cardboard. I use all but the very tough end of the broccoli and chop the florets even smaller than you do. I like the florets in stir fry or as a side vegetable, but not in soup! I feel like I've got kitten paws in my mouth.
