Thank you so much for posting this 🖖🏻 Betty White was truly and unquestionably the real first Lady of television. She was the first woman to produce a national TV show, the first woman to star in a sitcom, the first woman to receive an Emmy nomination - and the first woman to ever appear on television, given her performance on an experimental broadcast in 1939. No one could ever touch her accomplishments. A pioneer of the medium. And a pioneer for women. An animal rights activists. She paid for a private plane to relocate otters and penguins from Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans in the aftermath of 2005′s Hurricane Katrina. Unselfish, caring, empathetic, strong willed who championed causes near and dear to her heart. Her kind is not likely to ever be seen again, especially in this evil, vacuous, self entitled, selfish, egomaniacal world of today where it's all about "ME" while taking and posting hundreds of selfies of yourself and where you're at. I love you Betty ❤️

Betty White had some of the best lines on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and that was 20+ years into her career. Betty is having so much fun on these shows! And listen to the reaction of the crowd, the first few seconds is a polite courteous applause, until it finds out it is Betty White, it goes ape-shit, standing ovation every single time. If you look carefully there are a few ad-libbed remarks on both sides, where they break character, because all of these appearances where scripted. Later on you can see Betty looking behind Craig at the cueboards, like they do on SNL all the time. Absolute joy to watch these two dear friends, with at least one generation, maybe even two, apart connecting and doing what do they best, making people laugh. She's so quick even when she was in her 90's. She was genuinely one of the best human beings to walk on this planet and possibly the best soul in that dark abyss that is show business. Craig was very very fond of her and I'm glad she felt the same way for him. We get to see it for almost 2 hours and it went by so fast because it was utterly enjoyable. RIP Betty. You have fans ranging from kids all the way up to centenarians who misses you dearly. ❤

Just watched a doco about this fine lady. I love Ryan Reynolds quoting her leaving set on the last day filming her part in “The Proposal.” She turned to the cast and crew to say “I just want everyone here to know that this is the most fun I’ve ever had … standing up.” The shoot for the rest of the day was mostly unusable because everyone kept ruining takes by laughing when they remembered her exit.
