Between Finisterre and Muxia; Day 4 on the Camino Finisterre

Congrats, this take us back to 2015 when my wife and I did the whole camino, from France over the Pyrenees to Santiago, felt we hadn't finished so carried on to Finister to the 0.00 k maker. We decide to stay a couple of days but then decided to head up to Muxa to end our Camino ! Over 1000 ks in fifty days at aged 65 (my wife) and 66 for me. We used the John Bryley Book and took all the harder routes. It is an event in our lives that will never leave us, following other Camino walkers and watching their stories unfold brings back so many memories ! Buen Camino !!

Wow--you just keep going! Gorgeous beach! Had no idea there was so much to see and do in the Finisterre/Muxia area. I thought that the route out to ocean from Santiago was really a little extension to finish off the walk, but it is truly a whole other stage.

In 2019, at the age of 62, I walked from SJPDP to Santiago in 30 days then to Fisterra in 2 days and 2 hours. In 2023, after walking the Camino Portuguese from Lisboa, it took me 4 days to walk from Santiago to Fisterra(and it almost killed me). Albiet, it was in torrential rains. In 2025, in my 69th year, i plan to walk the Via de Plata and the to Fisterra. It will probably take me six days to get to the coast next year 😢

Whoa...you are one amazing gal, what diligence and drive you possess, I will have to channel you when I do the Feances this coming September. I am only apprehensive about albugues with mixed dorm rooms, how does that work out?, males and females together, do the monasteries have separate dorms for women?

Yes, I really don't have any special equipment for the videos- just a smartphone! (and, this year, I picked up a selfie stick, mostly to use when I filmed myself talking, but often I'd forget to use it!)
