Simplified things so well. I thought my hips needed to turn more but upon reflection i was already there after a good arm turn and from there it was going downhill badly. This made me realise I was over complicating things and has allowed my swing to flow so much better. Thanks guys!!

I have to say the "lag" one was such a game changer for me. I have never hit my irons so consistent and pure. I think one of your other videos mentioned holding the angle causes flipping which I sometimes would do if my timing was out. I decided to try "casting" the club and the difference is amazing. Now to sort out my pressure transfer and rotation

I’m glad someone said it. Dj and Rory are some of the best golfers on the planet. I do not have the hip motion nor should I try to replicate the hip motion of Rory bc I am not Rory. I think everyone is caught up in what the pros do instead just having the best fundamentals to produce consistent golf shots. Like if you can swing like Rory you prob wouldn’t be going in for lessons.

Monte is one of the good guys out there. He goes against the flow of traditional golf instruction. His honesty is refreshing. Monte's videos on KZbin are never over 4 minutes, holds your attention, and very instructive. So, thanks AMG, Monte, and my golf coach. At age 69 I am enjoying the game of golf again. Thanks guys.

The wrist set for me has been a huge factor for me. I brought the club so far back, the club would wrap around my body. Broke 3 shafts so far this year including one yesterday on a ping G410 demoing clubs. For me I have to make sure im taking a wide backswing and feel like my lead wrist is faced the target at impact. Best hit was 117mph club head speed 298 carry 324 total. Was a bit high on the spin side at 3400 lol.

How much tension do you put into hands, wrists, arms, shoulder joints in the swing? Are they super fluid like strings, super rigid like steel, or something in between? What analogy for level of tension might we use? Wet noodles for overly tense people? Is there an appropriate change in tension to embrace or avoid, like gripping hard at the top of the backswing? How can we develop the right feel for these levels of tension?

There is so much well intended misinformation that both confuses and frustrates an average golfer, this video is a breath of fresh air. The combination of AMG and Monte stands alone. I’m strongly considering unsubscribing to all other golf sites- especially those that keep stressing lag and firing the hips as fast as possible- they have little relevance to the occasional average golfer.
@AthleticMotionGolf5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words, Leonard! I think you'll be doing yourself and game a huge favor by at least not listening to the common ideas on lag and firing the hips. We've got a Pros vs Ams on lag coming out shortly that I think will connect some dots between those two ides😊

Mike.... pardon me for contacting you in this fashion.. Would you consider a video on tempo? I was using a metronome app at a PGA driving range as I watched.. It all seemed they swung at the same tempo (72 beats per minute)…..and with all the different clubs! This might be a good idea for a video....also the putting tempo....they all seem to have circled in what seems to be the ultimate tempo for both the full swing and the putting.
@AthleticMotionGolf5 жыл бұрын
We've had a few requests for a video on tempo. They are masters at it and it's always mentioned when you get to see them in person.

Could you please address the high hands at impact vs low hands. It's hard to ignore such successful high hands guys like Couples and Mediate. I have such respect for your opinion and I guess I'm looking for "permission" from you guys to pursue higher hands because it seems to work better for me. But would love to know what you think is going on with Couples and Mediate. Could you possibly describe how high hands works for them etc? Thank you! PS I just found Shaun's video regarding this subject. He is okay with high hands so I guess I'm good!!!
@AthleticMotionGolf5 жыл бұрын
This one's easy, Louis - don't have low hands😊 . Freddy doesn't have high hands, he has them exactly where they should be. If you extend a line out from the butt of the club at setup, it should hit your stomach just above the belt buckle.👍
@louislane19685 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your reply. Is the line you're referencing proper for the hands at impact?
@AthleticMotionGolf5 жыл бұрын
@@louislane1968 okay i'm with you now... just about everyone has higher hands at impact than they do at address. Many ams go beyond what's acceptable with the result being a difficult time controlling face angle and loft. If those aren't an issue, you're probably in the "good" range👍
@louislane19685 жыл бұрын
