By the way, you are right about much of the modern Church practice being unBiblical, but to look to the Law for righteousness is the opposite of having faith in Christ’s work. He gave us His record of works.

The God of love & forgiveness of Marción discards that the Meshiach is both Saviour and Judge .... sounds alot like prosperity gospel.

Yes, many Christians unfortubately refer to the law as if it were the Torah ... thus it is bondage and they focus on the "freedom" given by Yeshya. WoW, so clear to me now. I prefer to walk in the wilderness and worship YHWH. Todd, thank you for this teaching. Be blessed.

Wow! May YHWH forgive this man. There is one Father and one Son. They haven't changed.

You ever read Jeremiah 31? We are in a new covenant. The law/instruction is written on our hearts. (Spirit circumcised our hearts) What once was letters written on stone became the Spirit written on the hearts of men. The Law is the shadow of God. Why chase the shadow when you get attain something better - God Himself! Which is better: to chase after His shadow and live a religious life of do’s and dont’s, hypocritically turning a blind eye to the commandments you regularly break? Or to turn inward and ask the Ruach to give you instruction (law) on the matters at hand? Is not having faith in the Spirit of God being obedient to His Law? I fear the Hebrew Roots movement is ignoring way too many deliberate and clear teachings from our apostles on the matter. The shadow or the One that casts the shadow. Which one do you prefer?

Adam Your comment is contradictory. You refer to Jeremiah 31 which speaks of the Torah being in our minds and on our hearts. That is what we desire. That is the fulfillment spoken of by Messiah in Matthew 5:17. We are not chasing after shadows by allowing the Torah, through the Spirit, to permeate every part of our being.
