I saw this one yesterday and this morning, I stood by it when they refilled the coal after it arrived in Goulburn yesterday 😊 I can see the tracks from my house and watched it leave for Junee this morning. The 6029 is one of my favourite engines!

+Destinee Meyer Not really. The UP Bigboy's are 132 feet long with tender and have a tractive effort of 135,375 lbf on 68 inch drivers. The AD60 class Garret only produced 59.560 lpf of tractive effort on 55 inch drivers.

Well the AD-60's produced 59 thousand pounds of tractive effort, but some of the locomotives received enlarged cylinders such as 6029, which increased their tractive effort to 63 thousands pounds.

Maybe but Garrets are beasts of burden - and global at t hat. They hauled truckloads of gear all over the world. I am so glad that loco is back on the rails. Al we need now is an SA 500 Class.
