you must've missed the part of the song about the terrible job market that leaves grads without jobs so they can't pay their loans.... the first few years? do you know how much the average college education costs vs. the average salary? President Obama just finished paying off his student loans in 2004. Think about that.

@TWofford001 you got it! I used an effect in Premiere called "Change to color" it's pretty awesome. The key is to edit something that's a solid color (preferably primary) and well lit. otherwise, changing the color is a nightmare. Hence the wonky stuff going on with my green screen. Too many wrinkles made some funky shadows that were a pain to edit around :P

@terri318 thanks! i'm glad you enjoyed it! I spent my entire Saturday working on this. I meant to keep track of the exact hours, but I totally forgot. recorded the song first thing in the morning, which took around 2 hours, filmed all afternoon, until about 6 or 7, spent maybe 4 hours editing with breaks for dinner and a movie with Pat. Uploaded around midnight, fixed annotations around 1am. long day, but totally worth it. I hope this video gets more than a few thousand views!

yup. here in the US once you graduate you get a monthly bill for your loans. if your loans are government funded you can consolidate them into one payment, but unfortunately mine are private so i get 3 separate bills, totally around $1,000 a month. it's all relative though. if you get a loan for a masters and can't get a job once you graduate it's not really helpful. you can defer for 3 months (with interest) and then you have to pay.

I graduated 6 years ago with a degree in graphic design, and I've always worked. I got a great job right after graduation and was there for about 3 years before moving to NY. I think I was without a job for about 2 months when I first moved to NY but thankfully I've been able to do freelance work. The issue for me hasn't been finding work, it's been more of an issue of making enough money to cover my living expenses. Now I make videos full time and working as an actress and I'm getting by
