My first car in 1967. It was a 1956 black beetle, which looked exactly like that. so I bought it to put it on a shelf. I couldn't turn this one down for $39, like I did the RocHobby version, which was far more detailed, for $200:-) Nice video. Just came across your channel. I'll be back.

They need to make a Meyers Manx version of this Beetle, something with an off road suspension. That would be even cooler.

Actually Tamiya had one, actually three... All are out of production now, but if you haunt eBay enough you can probably find one. One was called the Sand Rover, pretty much your standard Manx, and there was a variant of it that was tuned more for street duty which had a wider stance and wider front wheels. The name of that one was... shockingly enough... called the Street Rover. The third one is more interesting, it's called the Kumamon. Basically the same as the Sand Rover, but this version includes a black teddy bear as the driver and some special decals.

That looks like some indoor fun. I love the split window. I might pick one up. Who knows, I'm tempted to get the two battery deal, put them in series and see just how fast it'll go. If I don't blow it up. 😅 Oh, and it goes without saying I am definitely pleased with this channel!

Showing my age, but it would be mint if they did RC versions of the old Dinky cars! Still got my old beaten up Bond Astin Martin. If it was in mint condition in the original box, it would be worth some serious money. It's hard to believe that I can remember Dad buying it for me in the 1960s when I got picked for the school Footy team.😢😂

What a sweet little guy! Do you think the ESC can handle the 7,4v 2s lipo from my 1:28 WL Toys 284161 Truggy? The connectors & connector seems to be the same. Looks like they moved the motor/transmission box in a way to give it just a lil more ground clearance I have the truck and original ones and the motor/transmission box hinders the ground clearance. Buying one within a minute of posting this comment. Thanks for the final push I needed. Oh may as well get the bus version as well so I have all 4 they’ve put out.

I got into a knock down drag out fight with a guy one time online because he said the same thing about buying Chinese junk. I attempted to explain to him that we could not afford the super pricey crap that he flew and his wife paid for because we had house payments to make and children to raise. He took offense! I will say in my defense that my comment to him was after he verbally assaulted me and my flying skills, after I tried to explain how the cheap Chinese junk had opened so many hobbies up to people who would not be afforded the opportunity otherwise. I did give him my address and invited him to come visit and we could discuss it like real men. He never replied after that!
