I've actually been trying to get Rosie her credit on her page for a while now, unfortunately it's kind of stalled. I've managed to get Wikipedia to open a site wide discussion where any and all important and unimportant Wikipedians can say whether they think Rosie as Spool in BFDIA 17 should be credited on her page and they all seem to agree that the credit should be included as long as we can find proof that Rosie was in the episode that doesn't come from Jacknjellify, which thankfully we can thanks to Rosie posting about it on her TikTok. Unfortunately the discussion has stalled there, despite everyone being in agreement that the credit should be added no one has actually added the credit. I would myself since I do have an auto-confirmed Wikipedia account and her page is only locked for people who don't have auto-confirmed Wikipedia accounts but I can't risk being ip banned from Wikipedia since I'm the only person trying to argue for BFDI being on the site while still playing by Wikipedia's rules. As for the reason Wikipedians are currently saying that BFDI can't have a page? They're now saying that "Wikipedia notability" is a different thing from actual notability and that in actuality what Wikipedia needs to create a page is three "major trustworthy news sources" that talk about BFDI and have enough details about the show itself to base the page off of. It is not allowed on Wikipedia to do "original research" to create an article, and watching BFDI in order to figure out what it is and what happens in it is "original research", meaning the only way to put information about BFDI onto Wikipedia is if something that Wikipedia trusts does original research that then Wikipedia can source from. Obviously there are tons of examples all over the website where that is plainly untrue, Wikipedia is filled with that kind of "original research", but alas that's what we have to deal with. Realistically, at least in my opinion, BFDI really only needs one mainstream trustworthy news article since any good news article is going to mention that "it's an animated competition show featuring anthropomorphised objects with 5 seasons that's been running since 2010" and really that's all the information you need to start a page but because of Wikipedia's bias they are inevitably going to refuse the page even if we get mainstream news coverage and stick with this "3 news sources" rule that definitely doesn't apply to anything else on the site. Also small correction, Wikipedians don't hate BFDI because they think it's bad or anything, they hate BFDI because some BFDI fans keep trying to make BFDI pages every once and a while since 2018 and because those BFDI fans "wasted editor time" they blacklisted the topic so they don't have to do more work. There's like one or two Wikipedia editors who seem sympathetic towards BFDI and will frequently answer questions from BFDI fans about Wikipedia but the rest of them seem to either not know about BFDI or vehemently hate it.

@@ExtremeWreck As far as I'm aware the only similar case is with SMG4, and even that was never put on the blacklist. SMG4 was a heavily debated topic where fans kept trying to add it and editors kept removing it but eventually once Glitch Productions got a page the editors just made SMG4 redirect to Glitch Productions, so it never ended up on the blacklist. BFDI is the only piece of media to be on Wikipedia's blacklist ever.

8:24 - About the BFDI and Wikipedia thing, I HATE how the best source of info is on fandom and not it's own wiki. Fandom CONSTANTLY shows you ads 24/7 and the fact that there's extensions (or if you type "anti" right next to fandom in the page link) to be redirected to a ad-less version of the site says a lot about the website. And as of looking into this further, there seems to be a BFDI Wiki on Miraheze (an ad-free wiki) however there isn't a lot of information on this wiki and seems less developed.

I kind of get why Rosie O'donnell isn't credited for her BFDI appearance on her wiki page, the credit in the episode just says "Clay's Mom" and Rosie herself hasn't publicly verified her appearance. Apparently Tomska's BFDIA appearances were temporarily removed on his page, even though he HAS verified his appearance on the show, including the recent TPOT 15 appearance, but it's been fixed. Because of this, BFDI will always be on Wikipedia in some form, even without a full article, thanks to Tomska. (Though I do think the show deserves to have a full page)

I think the main issue here is that the term "notability" is kind of a misnomer on Wikipedia. It isn't about whether we could consider something culturally significant or anything like that, it's just that in the process of writing a Wikipedia article, the first step is usually gathering reliable independent sources that could be cited for that article; without them, an article would only cite unreliable sources or sources made by people closely related to BFDI, which would affect neutrality. Google News mainly turns up press releases and "impact feature" articles which are non-independent. There are a few quick mentions on Business Insider and Entertainment Tonight, but they can't support a whole article about it. For better or worse, Skibidi Toilet got a lot of coverage. I agree that there are non-notable short articles out there, but you can nominate them for deletion. Wikipedia isn't written by just one person. All of this does not mean BFDI can't be mentioned on Rosie's page or any other page. I kinda agree it should be mentioned there, and there is a discussion ongoing on that article's talk page mainly agreeing with its inclusion.

Also, what I said about BFDI's quote-unquote "notability" also applies to Cary; there haven't been independent major news or book sources describing his life and career other than his involvement in the Scale of the Universe project. I agree it's weird that BFDI or Cary haven't got that much mainstream coverage yet, given the achievements. I've myself sent an email to request a reliable website called Cartoon Brew to make an article about BFDI. They haven't answered or done it yet, but we can keep trying on other outlets.

But yeah you really do highlight how difficult it is to write up a proper article when you can only rely on fandom partisanship when you have a lack of independent coverage. I shouldn't have tried implying that the admins hating BFDI is the catalyst, it's simply a symptom of the problem from how often the proposed articles on the series fail to meet their checks and balances (which I and many others find kinda dumb). It's difficult but not impossible: Independent coverage just happens to completely suck. It can often feel like we're getting the short end of the stick when unofficial fangames like Sonic Triple Trouble's remake can get coverage from a bunch of G4-tier gaming articles but an equivalent like Cartoon Crave isn't enough to verify impact because it didn't even bother explaining what BFDI was when awarding it in 2021.
